Big Truck, aka Ray Hansen of www.poolactiontv.com has stepped up to the plate and hit a home run.

This week, Ray and pro players Stevie Moore (The Blade) of Atlanta, GA and Brandon Shuff of Richmond, Virginia visited St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis, TN and put on a fantastic fund raiser. High Pockets & Sharp Shooters of Memphis, TN and the Memphis pool players turned on the after burners as well as some generous online pool enthusiasts helped this trio raise over $1,400 for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

Ray Hansen, Brandon Shuff & Stevie Moore; take a bow. YOU DID GOOD!

You can also go to Ray Hansen's Facebook account and see the check that was given to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

I think Shuff posted about their visit on his FB account as well.

Joey,

Thanks for the kind words. Brandon and Stevie worked really hard at this and I believe they both had a great time. St Jude does one helluva job. I'm glad we got to tour the hospital and see first hand the great work they do there.

Good job guys............

I stopped at High Pockets tonight.

Tracy, the owner, announced the money raised by this event and the the work done by Ray Hansen, Brandon Shuff and Steve Moore.

They had their 9 ball handicap tourny tonight and the place just went wild with the announcement.

This is just a continuation of many good things that Ray is doing for pool and as far as Brandon and Steve, these 2 guys are just great for pool.

You made us all proud and what a good cause...........

Ok, I'll start. Every year there is a tournament in Wisconsin to benefit breast cancer. This year 128 players joined. Here is a snippet of the article with a link at the bottom.

The annual Shooting for a cure pool tournament in Wisconsin Rapids was again a tremendous success. In its 11th year, the tournament raised $29,000 this year, bringing the total raised to nearly $250,000. Money raised supports breast cancer research at Marshfield Clinic.

GREAT EXAMPLE:

Jacoby Cues, and the original thinkers should patent this idea and share it around the world. Any community with like mind and will could do this. They should start a blog and discuss the ins and outs of how they accomplished so much, in each of the eleven past years.

My wife donates 5% of here salary to St. Jude's for supporting her brother when he was diagnosed with cancer at a young age. That was one of the first things she told me when we she finished school she was going to do and that was nine years ago. People forget about great organizations like this one and other's.
