You guyz are BRUTAL....brought tears to this old mans eyes.

How many times and in how many differant ways do ERIC, BILL and others have to prove that spellin and righten proper is WAY overrated.

I used to think it was impotent too but I've been enlightened. There is NO sense expending energy and brain matter on shit that don't matter.

That was my excuse to learn NOTHING after the fourth grade.:)

There are more forensics tools available to find out who you are than there are for you to avoid being found.

see, the stakes are different for me. You sneak in and post on a board...if I catch you....the consequences could outweigh the fun you had.

Trust though, if someone is causing trouble, I have several tools at my disposal. You may figure out how to pop back in once in a while but I can and will know who you are in short order.

Ask FL how successful I am.

Hooray Mr. Wilson! With all due respect, I believe you should handle
this matter just as if it is your life which is being threatened. I
doubt you'd hold back under those circumstances, and I believe your
members deserve the same protection you'd give yourself. Please
follow up with the tools available, and unmask CharlieL. I cannot
imagine a reason why you would assist in keeping his identity
secret - like JAM pointed out - what's to prevent him from resurfacing
under a different username, like others have, and further terrorizing
your forum - he needs to be unmasked and incapacitated, I believe.

In the thread "Varney's Alter Ego..." another forum member
implied/expressed that KV regularly logged off before CharlieL logged
on, and visa versa, I believe. That caught my attention, as it
seemed an unlikely coincidence. - but KV has assured us that he is not
CharlieL - and I hope not, for his sake. I think it is significant
that KV has encouraged that the issue of IP's etc. be further
investigated. That strongly implies to me that KV is not CharlieL.
(or that he, or someone he knows, is very confident of his computer
skills.)

I spent some time yesterday studying up on proxy IP's and encourage
you to use technology readily available and endeavor to unmask
CharlieL. I have been informed that his IP does not match any forum
member's. So, was a proxy used? If so, is that simple determination where things end, or
should that proxy be penetrated? I'm certain I know where the
majority of the members stand on that point.

Hopefully this brief quote from "Varney's Alter Ego..." will compel your further efforts: "I will add that if you
guys think I'm a tough guy...I'd suggest not provoking Charlie as I
have in fact seen him more than once stick a pistol in a man's face."

I second this motion from shankster8 on chasing down charliel, I do not care about this Varney stuff it is old news, but charliel needs to be taught a lesson on what is considered to be uttering threats.

Guys, reality check:

move on and pay no more attention than is deserved.

Some of you guys remind me of the stuff people used to say...." if I ask you if you're a cop you must tell the truth or it is entrapment" sort of mush.

It is a message board and there are bigmouths everywhere. He's been dealth with accordingly.

The real poice have much better things to concern themselves with and so should you.

Any one of you feel soooooo threatened, YOU persue it. Don't pester me to add to my workload.

I'll help you out so you are in on the joke and understand where their ribbing is coming from. Burglars break into houses. Buglers play a bugle, as in the musical instrument. That is what they are laughing about.

I'm a bugler who loves burgers. Somebody broke into my house and stole my bugles and burgers. What the hell do I call HIM?

(Okay, I'm really just a trumpet player...)

You have access to information. Provide the racist's information and the matter will be pursued without adding to your workload. Big mouths that resort to racial slurs and threaten lives are the concern of real law enforcement.

This might be true. But however vile Charlie / Kevin might be, I think the site has privacy agreements in effect. I think it would have to be subpoenaed, as does information if you want to go after someone on Paypal. Believe me, I would like some info right away, especially after the threats Fast/Loose received. I really must say however that knowing KV would freely show his cues with guns, always mention guns and use them in his analogies, the fact Charlie used one as a threat makes the tie together theory very compelling. I bought a lot of cues from certain cuemakers, but I wouldn't be offering up murder just because someone said his cues were late.

Mr. Wilson, again with due respect: I do not wish to pester you to add to your workload. In fact, by your own words, you already know who CharlieL is and he's been dealth with accordingly". You are the moderator, and it is your call as to whether you choose to identify one who has made death threats against other forum members. I'm sure you have your reasons as to why you've chosen to keep his identity secret but, I believe, if any of the threatened parties wishes to know that identity, you should divulge it to them in private, perhaps. It is possible that their opinion as to whether he has been dealth with accordingly, may differ from yours. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Repeating myself........

If anyone of you feels sooooo threatened....feel free to contact the police and do as you feel you must.

Play cops and robbers on your dime and keep it OFF AZB.

Not clear enough?

Truer words have never been spoken! :embarrassed2:

I have a software macro program for my typing work when I am producing transcripts. Most people in my industry use a software macro program. It can't be used on forums, per se, but it is used in tandem with Word and WordPerfect software.

When this software first came in existence, a coworker was working on an FDA Advisory Committee meeting about Alzheimer's disease. So, instead of having to type out A-l-z-h-e-i-m-e-r-'-s every time the word was said, she made a brief form for it as a-l-"space bar." So, every time she heard the word "Alzheimer's," she just typed a-l and hit the space bar, and the word would type out automatically. What a time saver, I tell you.

The next week, we were all working on a Senate committe transcript, same-day delivery, and every time Al Gore's name was mentioned, she had "Alzheimer's Gore" in her transcript. The transcript was not proofed well, since it was same-day delivery, and of course, it got kicked back to the office with some raised eyebrows!

I hate proofing my own work. It is so easy to miss typos, et cetera, that I commonly make AND that spell-check can't catch. One example for me is that every time I hear the word "statue," I instinctively type "statute." Spell-check doesn't catch those boo-boos.

I love this kind of talk!

LOL - That reminds me of a software project we were working on once. I had designed this software to use multiple languages, currencies, etc. and written most of the user manual. Against my recommendation, my bosses sent it to a French language company with no technical (computer) experience to save money on the translation.

When we got it back, data "fields" had been translated to "pastures". I imagine the French-speaking users would have had trouble figuring out why they needed to enter data while standing in a pasture :)

Fear not!!!!!!!!!!!

Fear not of of Chariel for she or he or shehe has recieved an invitation to the Nutthuggers Ball. This was the motivation for all the ridiculous an redundant racially charged death threats. How do I know this you ask?
"I heard it through the grapevine" If I'm wrong an should come to an untimely demise Kevin Varney is one of 12 people on AZB with my physical address. Please alert authorities!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Maybe we should have an AZB Maxwell Smart and Agent 99...then they could devote the rest of their lives to solving internet crimes.

I really don't think its an issue of me "giving up anyone" like I have some super secret info. Any smart government cyber sleuth will find it plenty easy to get any info needed from where he signed up with AZ then simply ask Charlie himself. As bad as many of you want me to be Charlie...it simply isn't going to happen.:nono:

As far as I can tell your, as of now, the only one who REALLY knows Charlie.

Have you considered being pro-active, contacting him and suggesting it wouldn't be nice to murder people.

TIA, Adam

Adam,

In truth there is little reason to worry about the Charlie's of this world. Folks that go around making threats on the net and waving around pistols aren't much of a real threat. They can't do much damage over the net and when they pull the pistol on the wrong person they will be lucky if they only get it jammed in one of their lower body orifices. With concealed carry "shall issue" the law of the land in this state those types have disappeared. I honestly can't remember the last time I heard about someone waving a gun around.

Only the silly folks that think they are the only ones that have a gun wave them around. When they suspect that others are armed also the would be badasses sit down, shut up, and do it all politely!

I'd be willing to bet there are those that have been banned before that are still on this board using the same techniques I talk about. Most only get caught by posting habits or screwing up and saying something about their old name in a pm or something (which can be read by admin's if they wanted). I dont know who FL is and dont really care. I'm just saying I'm very sure there are plenty of people here posting with multiple names under different IP's.

Its very easy to trick a message board. Thats all I'm saying. When you can get free email addresses it makes it much tougher to stop those you ban unless they just dont know any better.
