Cheap Ebay Tip info request.

Posting for a friend: (I'm still enjoying my Kamui Black)

He needs a couple new tips, these are in his price range on Ebay, he came to me and asked about them. I have no experience with any of these, but I told him I would see if anyone on here had any REAL FEEDBACK. I've already pointed out a few of my Fav's that are inexpensive and play great, like Triangle.

He's wanting to try a Layered tip, and he has already accepted that it wont compare to the high dollar ones. Looking to make an educated decision, before pulling the trigger! Any info you can share, would be most helpful. Here is what he has his eye on!

(Oh and he is looking to buy about 3-5 tips)
2 cues of his will be replaced/installed, and the others will be his back-ups.

How do they measure up?

To those that have used these ultra skin tips, how do they compare to others as far as hardness? Is the hard or medium equivalent to a Le Pro? Is the soft comparable to a Kamui soft? Thanks for any responses.

I replaced a customer's Lepro tip with an Ultra Skin soft and he loves it. They are about the same as a Kamui soft. I can feel the difference between the soft and the med. I haven't had a chance to try the hard.

Try it you'll like it...........

I tried the medium and the hard and the difference in feel is noticeable but they both play great. I assume the soft is as advertised.
 
I'm used to soft milk duds. decided to try a harder tip and put on the medium ultra skin and I really like it.
And you get 10 for the price of 1 or 2 of the designer models!!
 
I took off a SS Kamui and put one of the soft Ultraskins on my cue and I like the Ultraskin much better, doesn't glaze over and holds it shape really well. The Kamui was starting to get hard after a couple months, but I have had this Ultra on for about a month and a half and it seems to play the same as the day I put it on. I play at least a half an hour every day.

I popped my Kamui off (on purpose) to put on an UltraSkin too. Love it so far !!!

WOW! Ok, I have found my next new tip's! Thanks for all the info! I believe he will go this route instead of the original 3 options I started this post for him with! Thanks to all!

His name is Tom Hay and he is also a member on the forums, you can buy from him on the forum here and he sells on ebay too.
 
Wow, I stayed out of it and am speechless. I just bought some Trophies for the upcoming UltraSkinLayered Layered Cue Tips Open, Added, Tournament sponsered by AZ Billiards Customers.
