ESPN has bowling on, ESPN2 has tennis, Fox Sports has horse riding. What's next, cow milking?

It's hard for me to believe live coverage of a pool tournament couldn't do better than the ratings for that stuff.

Fox sports is going to show the Finals of the Steve Mizerak Seminole tribe tournament.

Do not quote me but I think it will be broadcast on Dec 12.

Earl vs. Shaun Putnam

I hope this cheers ya up!!

Just checked the program guide. ESPN has 3 and a half hours of pool starting at 330 eastern time.

Does anyone get this channel? I see Fox News, Deportes( sports in spanish) Fox soccer ect. Must "Fox Sports" be viewed online?

I don't know about horse riding, but bowling and tennis are both more popular than pool, and they translate into better T.V. than pool does.

it's all about return on investment . . . .

I don't know if there are more Equestrians than pool players , but I do know this : per capita , they spend way more than pool players~ you can have the nicest cue in the world , but it doesn't eat , go to the vet , need shoes or shots . . . . . . ponies ain't cheap . . . :frown:

Seen trickshots were on. Would rather watch reruns of "Lucy". Actually don't really like watching pool on TV because the coverage and commentary stinks. When I want to watch pool is either live stream or recorded DVD.

Pool is better off by not being on TV until they get some real pros involved in the production. ;)

Tennis is a favorite of mine. Goes right along with pool as a combination of mental/physical skills needed.

I won't watch any trick shot competitions, to me they are useless. I'd rather watch B players playing 9-ball than trick shots.

It is impressive what they can do with the cueball sometimes, but I'd rather watch a normal match.

That could be because bowling and tennis are live while pool is two months old by the time the show it on tv.

If they had showed the semifinals and finals of the Seminole tournament won by Earl live they would have had good ratings. If the pool finishes early they could show cow milking or horse riding to fill time until the top of the hour. Television has never given big time pool a chance.

Its easy for a pool player to say this, but if you put yourself in a non-pool player's shoes, you would understand why nobody cares.
