CJ WIley Playing John Schmidt

I'm starting to think it may not be Fast Larry. He's held it together for some time now if it is. I'm impressed if it is....

John up one game in 10 ahead set for $5,000

Why don't you get David G. and make a game with Corey. He can get the 7 ball all day everyday. Period. Corey will be done playing Shane saturday night. Why doesnt David G. fly up and get him some? Or, get somebody to post some money and he will fly directly there from South Dakota. I find it hilarious that you are claiming Corey ducked him. Get up or shut up!

One of the lessons Grady gives in his "money" tape is never judge a guy by what he is wearing. The poorest looking slob might have the most cash in his pockets. Who is a stick up artist going to go for him or the guy with a rolex and designer wear. Cuban Joe who liked the Bling used to get stuck up all the time.
This nonsense anyway is just some petit bourgeoise BS way of blabbing talking about yourself and how much you have and how much you know about fru fru items. Big Deal, Wannabees! Give me Efren in his T Shirt and Flip Flops or Cliff and his turned around baseball cap anyday.

As matter of fact, Corey did duck him. I hand dlivered messages to him 3 times in Olathe and he wouldn't even return calls. Never did return em. David lost intrest.

[Part 2] This nonsense anyway is just some petit bourgeoise BS way of blabbing talking about yourself and how much you have and how much you know about fru fru items.

Part I: I've never been stuck up by anyone. The Woim is aware of his surroundings at all times and also has security when engaged in money matches. In fact, I've only known one person who was ever held up and since he always used it as evidence for the need for the banning of guns, I secretly suspect that he was lying. Besides, he always had appointments with a psychologist to help him deal with his "depression". He also tried the agrument that alcohol causes alcoholism because without alcohol - wala - no alcoholism. The point I'm making regarding this guy is that he was never responsible for his own actions and something or someplace or someone was always causing his problems.

Part II: You can dress like a slob and call it sophistication if you want. You're not my buddy from part I are you? :p I'll bring up an example: ME. When I was in high school, I insisted that "good manners" was just a bunch of BS and that people had to be honest with others. If you thought someone looked bad with their new hairstyle, why it was just a matter of honesty to say so directly, to their very face. Otherwise, you were engaging in dishonesty and the playacting of "good manners". You know, what you describe as "petit bourgousie"... At least immitate H.L. Mencken and use the word "boobwazee"...

So, it's your call to dress how you want and to act how you want. I got straightened out, hope you do to.

As for Efren, the guy's got class of the natural variety and that done ain't available at no store... LOL! :D

What tends to upset me, is when a tournament has a dress code in place but then doesn't have the back bone to enforce it. I am not an advocate of turning tournament pool into some GQ fashion parade but when you state no "wife beaters", then don't allow players to play in them. But I also like the cape idea!!!!!

When I was playing a lot, it was always advantageous to blend in with the crowd. Of course I was out to make money, not be on the cover of GQ. Dress codes are not the problems keeping pool from the main stream, but we've covered that discussion many times too.

The only straightening out for you was already done by Billy Incardona. Nothing more needs to be said about that issue. As for "petit bourgeoise" its not about good manners but about how you want to be perceived by others. Showing off your good manners is lame as well as proclaiming it on a pool forum. The petit bourgeoise is not a class in itself but a phony one made up of those Wannabees like you who pretend to be of the upper class. The real bourgeoisie. Big deal. Who cares what kind of shoes or shirt you wear. Or where you shop.
I'm all for purchasing well crafted items be those cues as well as footwear. But clothes do not make the man, son.

I think if anything it may have made CJ more inspired to play more....I was suprised when he came in the pool room the night after he lost to John...CJ may not be the same Champion he once was, but I can guarantee you that he'd still give anyone a run for their money...Watch out for him at the US Open this year....I'm sure he's going again..

This is so true, as anyone who's ever seen Tony Watson's on-again off-again backer from Wilmington knows. Not only does he not look like he's got more money than you can shake a stick at, he's one of the nicest people you'll ever meet.

Yobagua,

Please reread my posts a little more carefully. If you still need any help understanding them, PM me because it's not fair for us to take up so much time and space on the main forum.

I'm here to help you understand.

Yours Truly,
The Woim

Guys,

I went to the bank today to finish up some important business work and I saw a bunch of people working at the bank in fairly chaap casual clothes.

:(

I guess it's not exactly kosher for me to expect the kind of people who go to pool halls to dress nice if people who work at a financial institution dress casual. And you know what else? I didn't see a single pair of nice shoes in the whole place.

It's just The Woim all by himself standing up for what is right against a society in the midst of Daniel Patrick Moynihan's "Defining Deviancy Down"...

Yours Very Truly,

Get off of this post and stay off of it WOIM......thanks....I swear to God if someone else says something about Fu&^ing clothes I'll will personally travel to your place and kick your ass all over the Fu#$ing state you live in....

The only thing you can make me "understand" is how little attention you must be getting at home and really need it so bad that you have to come here and open that gap you got called a mouth and spew nonsense. Please dont read my posts that carefully. I'm done with all this anyway and I dont care if you understand.
By the way CJ can still play some. I still think he should get back on and try John again. John just played a strong set. CJ should have tried at least another set.

I did everything I was told to do...People came and some of us lost, but I had nothing to do with the matching up...Corey and Gabe came through town to play golf, but didn't play David and never returned his calls...of course I don't think Corey would want any part of him after David beat him getting the 8, but heck that was seven years ago...we still want action...we're players not quiters

You got action whenever you want it.......;)

Guess that makes it an even game......I just like to read the forums......I was going to ask for a spot considering you beat my buddy Destry in the waco tourny last time I was there. Destry gives me the 7,8 but I'd take the 8 form you to be friendly.
