I have a friend who suffered a stroke Oct.6- he's doing rehab in the hospital for at least another wk. His daughter is attempting Nursing home plans. He's a retired Navy man ,and never heard of or used any V.A. Benefits. He's got a long way to go- The left side doesn't work- eye, hand leggs feet, and of course he's very tired-sayes he's done with gunsmithing and cuemaking. His work is unbelievable- He makes guns from raw materials, any kind- and new calibers, has a bk collection like a musem- so you can figure the stuff he has been making for producing cues. He litterly makes me swear( to tell know one). he invented things as well, like plastic milk jugs made them sold them to the milk companys. He is so independent he never spoke of family(ever to me or my father) in his area- and he hasn't made 1 call to tell them he's sick. He lives a simple life by the lake, and sings to the tune of a self-employed bussinessman. It's always his way or the highway-but his work is unbelievlable. His shop is so clean you could eat off the floor. I wear gloves so the sweat from my hands doesn't rust the metal stuff. Ron Lampert bemidji Hospital 4th floor. please post something for Ron -so I could say he has others that do care for his health. I will copy and bring to the hospital next wk. I realize I can be a self centered egotitical S.O.B.- but for this man(and most others) I would let my fingers, thumbs be broken-so he and others would live longer, and suffer no mental or physical pain. not 1 word of reprisal now or ever- heck tell me to become a lurker-just a kind word to the man above. thanks for listen and reading Yours truly mark please

My prayers for your friend Mark.
If he served in the Pacific, thank him for keeping my family safe from the enemies.

Being an Atheist, I don't pray.

Being a WW2 Tin Can sailor, South Pacific, you can tell your friend I have sincere hope for his complete recovery.

Tell him, if he can understand you, a stroke does NOT end his happiness. If he can't, hold his hand.

It is a long struggle, but he can earn his life back.

It takes perstistence and an attitude that it seems like he already posseses.

thanks to az viewers-

I would like to thank everyone that reponded ,looked at,and said a silent prayer. Seems live is sucked out right before retirement- and self-employed get only there benefits and or military retirement. Thanks to everyone, If anyone needs somethink from me -just ask I expect to see him walking tommorrow- back I go- another 550 miles in less than 24. I have put a total of over 1600. miles without leaving the state,I'msupporting premium gas. god bless any and all of us,senserely yours Mark

Mark ,tell your friend our prayers are with him, and we hope he has a speedy recovery. I was in bad shape myself not that long ago, and even know my health is still not good I am still glad Im still here. And with physical therapy as I had also , I hope he will get through this. I wasn't and still am not religous but I still pray everyday for myself and others and I will add your friend to mine tonight. <<<ED
