Who's gonna commentate this year in Vegas?
I hope for Jimmy Wych, Upstate All, Incardona, pro's from both sides...
I'd prefer not to hear Jay's voice again rolling tough words in USA Team's favor. I had enough last year.
Sorry Jay, nothing personal, just you screwed up last year with you untruthfully comment in favor of USA Team. For those who wants to fight for the cause, just rewatch the matches and listen Jay commentating...
It's just my opinion so please take it like it is.

I want to hear more from you guys, who do you think should be in the booth?

Thanks

I like Jay, both in and out of the booth.

I guess commentators are supposed to be unbiased, but if Jay makes a positive comment for Team USA, is that supposed to taken as favoritism.

Commentators are able to make comments on either side. I don't believe for one minute that Jay would be like that nor purposely set himself up for that type of criticism.

If a commentator is truly unbiased and isn't allowed to make positive or negative comments re either team, it would be pretty boring, wouldn't it.

When a person is in that position, it can be damned if you do and damned if you don't.

Jay does the Mosconi Cup, like it or not. They all do a great job. You won't find too many people that know pool as well as Jay and Jimmy.

Anybody but Jim Wych. Listening to him is like listening to fingernails on a blackboard.

Jay Helfert is really good. Many unexpected things come up while commentating and no one rolls with the punches better than Jay. When Jay is doing commentary he sounds the same as if you were having a conversation with him in the stands.

What I can't stand from a commentator is a condescending tone and attitude toward the viewers. No need to talk like little kids are listening. I don't think "that guy" will have any chance of being on Mosconi Commentary anyways.

Steve from Bonus Ball was very good and professional. That would be awesome, imo.

Jerry Forsyth, Mark Wilson and Danny D all do a good job too.

not sure what a co captain's responsibilities are, but Buddy Hall is a great commentator as is Jerry Forsyth.

Double j for commentator..sing the tune in the little birdies ear..cause we will be there in attendance anyways..ha ha ok im biased cause that my boy..But he is actually good..I also like Billy when he commentates..

Billy I is always pleasant to hear. If they want a cheerleader they should get Ken Schuman, he's been known to heavily favor individuals.....SVB vs Alex

Sam and Jay are as good as anyone

However, I would like to see Jerry Forsyth step up to the plate...put a little "color" into "color" commentary. That's why I like Danny D and Billy I so much.

There we go Jerry and Efren. Pour some cold water on me.:groucho:

Each commentator brings their own wisdom to the booth about the game and its players.

My favorite, without any doubt, is Jerry Forsyth. From the first day I heard him with the late Sid Waddell, I was hooked.

I don't know of commentators are like Filipino pool player groups, but Danny D. Billy I, Jim Wych are usually heard on Accu-Stats. Alvin is heard on InsidePOOL. I guess the rest are free agents. :grin-square:

Sky Sports will stick with their regular bunch of professional commentators.
So it will be the J Team - Jerry, Jim and Jay

Don't they put 2 in the booth for each match? Then next match alternate 2 others in? Rinse, repeat?

That would require 4 commentators total if that's correct.

(and I agree with JAM, Jerry is awesome - in many regards)
