I always feel bad when I have critcisms of free streams, because heck it's free but sometimes you have to call a spade a spade. TAR and Accu-Stats are the industry standard and for good reason. What they do is top notch. I was just saying that I wish more streamers would be more like them and less like what I hear on the Inside Pool streams. I'm not asking for much. I don't even expect the commentary to be great or even good every time. I'm just asking for the commentator to not talk to the chat, and keep it pool related. Alvin did make some weird comments this time when Danny Harriman brought up Shane's instructional videos and people in the chat said, correctly, that they were on the TAR website. Alvin said something like "I'm not promoting anything to do with those guys here. They have bashed us in the past." It seemed out of character. Maybe he's under a lot of stress.
I have a problem justifying complaints about freebies, but I did have to mute a youtube svb/ orcullo match I was watching last night coz of the horrid commentator.
Some "brand-new member" joins today and slams the commentator from InsidePOOL, a free livestream.
I didn't hear the broadcast, but at least it was free. Not everybody can afford to pay for seasoned or experienced commentators for free livestreams, so it is what it is.
On a good note, be happy it was free and kept you up to date on the happenings.

Well, I think the person just joined this forum for the sole purpose to create this thread to bash the commentator, which I think stinks. Anything else from you?

have to admit, the video kept me up to date, but the audio did not. Not by a long shot.
And that's okay to express it. I understand that the commentating is less than desired by some who heard it.
But have you checked out the join date of the OP of this thread? If it was you, a known entity (not your first post on the same day you joined AzBilliards), creating this thread, it would have more merit than a person who joined today and this is their first post.
Why not be man/woman enough to say who you are instead of creating an anonymous identity for the sole puropse to bash someone. More than likely, it's a member here with another identity; IOW, a multiple-identitied member. It's happening more and more frequently on AzBilliards, but I guess that's tolerated now.

I have been a member for 9 years and my 46th post was on this thread.
Because it was that bad.
But I did spend last week listening to Jay H (you rocked it) and Joey A (also rocked) commentating and then going to Insidedpool or even POV the contrast was huge.
All free streams. I don't really expect good commentating for free but the better it is, then the better the chance of me buy the PPV.
I'm not sure which part it was but it was somewhere in the Bigfoot 10-Ball 2013 Southern Classic Shane Van Boening VS. Dennis Orcollo. I was watching it with my boyfriend this morning and couldn't believe how unprofessional he was. I appreciate a little humor here and there but shoot, come ON.
Someone made a joke about Shane being deaf, saying it was a good thing he couldn't get distracted by the music. har har. Seems a little insensitive to me.

The joke came from Danny Harriman, not Alvin (for those who haven't heard it). It did seem a bit insensitive the way he first said it, but he had a good point about the distracting factor of music (it can bring memories to mind and the words can produce distracting visuals). I don't think he meant to be insensitive...just came out that way.
You don't know me and I don't know Keith but he did stay at my parents house once in Atlanta, GA when I was about 5. he was with Shawn Azaris or however you spell it from Alaska and him and Shawn started argueing over who was better lefties or righties Shawn was lefty and Keith was righty.. we knew and liked Shawn so well my bother and I both ended up lefties.. anyway!
