That does it :( , I'm going to need two more balls
from Andrea :p :p , and one more from Linda :p .

taught me to say, "bad ball, bad ball"

Congratulations to our stars from
the NorthWest

Wtg Asm!

This was a well played match on both ends and very entertaining to watch.I think the final score was 8-6?They also met for the point with Andrea winning 8-6?

Great shooting both of you

Thanks everyone and congrats again, Andrea. I do want to correct smoooothstroke, because it was not a well-played match on my end at all. I can't remember when I played so bad...couldn't run 2 balls. Every safe was open, every kick short. I remember thinking to myself, "Now these tables do kick short, but this extra english ought to compensate for it." Wrong! LOL.

Add that to a bad call by the ref to get me on my 2nd foul of a 3-foul and there you have it. Andrea played as good as she needed to to beat me, lol.

I just watched the match again and I can't even believe some of the bad decisions I made. How about the last shot for her win? I was trying to MOVE the 9 ball and instead made the 6 ball!

What a nightmare, it started out when I got out of line (all the time) and had to go around the world and chumped and hung the 9 ball.

I did play pretty sporty to get to the Finals though, so I'm not complaining. Andrea played well and took advantage of my many weaknesses. Remember, I am 20 years older than her and have been whining about not getting to play in the senior division. :p

You can see the train wreck here: http://www.onthebreaknews.com/9BallWBCA.htm#Interview

as well as an interview I did...in one take, that is why I was stumbling around, they didn't let me start over.

one thing age does for us . . .

Linda,

One thing age does for us, we have a lot bigger library of excuses! :D :D :D

Last time I went two and out in a nine ball tournament just after my opponent sunk the winning ball I jerked up me stick and looked at it, "No wonder, this is my eight ball stick!"

Just ragging you of course. First loser ain't bad, first is a lot better!

Well, if Andrea is 45, then SHE has great genetics! And what are you doing married to a senior citizen?

Wow, thanks for all the support from all the Az ers.
It was an awesome experience. I got 2nd last year and was estatic, but getting first is definately a different feeling.:)
I have soooo much respect for the gals in my division. They all play well. I guess it was just my turn this year. :)
Congrats to Linda for 2nd. We had some good matches.

Andrea

Andrea,
Wow! Second last year, FIRST this year! Consistantly DANGEROUS to whoever has to play you! Very impressive and here's wishing you not only hearty congratulations, but continued success on and off the table!

And Linda, congrats to you also. Second place is no disgrace!
I still remember when you were our "Queen" here at AZB (top ranked forum member). Didn't realize you were such a powerhouse on the table as well.

We're very proud of you ladies!

I finally know who Milo is. Milo beat the QUEEN. :clapping: :happydance:  The Queen needs to bear down. :-)

JoeyA

Yes, I did need to bear down. Last time I played her in Regionals in March, I did bear down and I might have skunked her. Pool is just not my life right now. I just show up at the tournaments with no preparation. OK, I did play once during that week before, lol. If I'm not putting in the time, I don't deserve to win. Andrea is and she deserved it.
