I want to watch the final again, it happened so fast I missed a TON and I was there. Also Hunter Lombardo was in the booth on commentary and I'm interested in his take on it all.

I kept thinking the exact same thing. The only difference really is, Jayson really had the pool gods on his side throughout the match. For Mika yesterday, it's as though the pool gods got out of his way. I mean, I would too. He was running like a freight train.
Yeah, a 5-pack and a 3-pack in the finals…only one other person had a 3-pack in the whole tournament according to AtLarge stats….Amazing performance! Edit: AtLarge corrected me that these stats were based only on the streamed matches...

Mika was playing with a Mezz Exceed cue, as was Oscar. Mika has a new custom cue coming from Mezz, so this is his temporary cue for now.
Mika said he was playing with the WX900 shaft until he lost to Erik and went to the B side, then switched to the WX700 and went through the field to win.
Yeah, I was interested in hearing what Hunter had to say, too. He was trying to describe what Mika was doing differently, but our good friend Eddy Culhane kept interrupting him and he finally gave up.

Hunter was saying that Mika now kept his chalk in his pocket (right front) instead of the table as part of his new routine. The rest was muted by Eddy.
Then don't be...this was simply a thread congratulating Mika, not speculating as to why so and so was or wasn't there. Are you implying that it wasn't as quality of a win?
