It must feel so awesome for him to have asked for our votes to be on the team, received them, and then paid us all back with phenomenal play! All the things everyone thought about him and his ability to be an intimidating force on the table really played out. And it sure doesn't hurt my opinion of him that he had such a humble demeanor and was truly thankful for the chance.

Dennis had my vote since Earl was able to be. Dennis was as

Was he awesome or WHAT?!? Remember there were some very prodigious posts about trying convince everyone Dennis is the right guy for the job, some even prophetic:

Was he the right choice or what? Short of Rodney, I think noone else on that short list for the Mosconi Cup Idol could've rallied the team the way Dennis did. Not only did he perform wonderfully, but he foisted the entire team upon his shoulders, and made it his duty to make sure everyone was motivated and retained focus throughout. And, he continued to pump everyone even after a match loss.
What a guy. What a player. What a TEAMmate!

lets not forget that not only was he America's choice, but the rest of the world that wasn't excluded from voting also. I'm sure we'll never know the exact voting breakdown by country but I'd like to think that the Europeans that had no idea who he was helped a little.

You lobbied for our votes, most of us knew what kind of game you were going to bring, but I don't think that many of us knew the spirit and fiery determination that you were going to rein on down everyone there. You sir, are a true American!
I've followed you for a long time and I know you've went thru some tough periods, but keep this in mind..... You went on the worlds biggest stage and played your best, able to shut out the pressure and bring your A game and I'm glad you were awarded for it. With the MVP, the joy of winning the cup on your first go around, and being able to bond with your fellow teamates in your quest for bringing the CUP back home.
Your genuine show of emotion was a welcome shot in the arm in today's world that we live in.

I could type pages upon pages about how important I think Dennis was to our winning the Mosconi Cup this year but I'll make it short and sweet.
You showed tremendous heart, patriotism and the strongest desire to perform for your country. Watching the interviews as well as your matches convinced me that there could not have been a better pick for team USA than yourself.
The whole team obviously contributed in a great way but your enthusiasm and grateful attitude was so infectious. I am sure that you had a great part in pumping up your teammates as well. Great job to all of team USA!! My heart has never beat so fast watching pool as it did over the past four day. I have made a promise to myself to get to the next cup in the Vegas in 2 years. Thanks for the exciting pool. I think team pool could be what this game needs to get the game more exposure.
