cool pool room names

One of the old rooms in Charlotte NC ( where the legend Denny Searcy lived ) is called-- Pass Time Billiards. It is a cool name for a true players room --Leonard
 
There is Mr. Cue's in "Hotlanta" and Johnny Archer and Kim Davenports place...Marietta Billiards Club, GA.

If I had a place it would be called the House of Cues... :cool:
 
Don't know if this has been said or not but I always liked "Brass Balls Billiards."

For a lot of years . . . .

I wanted to open a hall and call it Shaky Jake's. Tired of the road and figured I might as well encourage folks to come to me.

When I was stationed in 29 Palms there was a pool hall called 'Fields of Green' in Yucca Valley.

I think that Jerry Briesath had a room in Madison called 'CueNique'. I heard that it changed hands and then closed; bummer.

If I were to ever open a room I would go for something simple like 'The Spot' which I am told is the name of Jimmy Fusco's place in Philly or 'Blue Ball Billiards' because 'Orange Ball' is already taken by a place in Rockville MD.
 
Actually, I think the hall itself is more important than the name. In continuous opertion since 1964. Cindy & I just returned after spending a pleasant few hours. Blatant plug for The Cue Ball, Salem, Oregon. No bar, no lottery machines, music volume controlled by the house...just pool.

Danny Shades was telling me about a pool room that Bobby Burnett opened up for awhile in Hollywood, CA called the TORTURE CHAMBER.

There is a place in Bryan College Station that is named. P.O.E.T.S (Piss on everything its saturday!) Thought it was quite funny.

The Rack N Cue

I always liked The Rack N Cue Billiards that I used to play in. For along time there was no alcohol,no juke box, just pool, snooker and billiards:)
