All right, I'll bite. How much is he giving up? :p

Hoping to find someone to play even but if your talking about putting Keith in the box I will check with Corey and see if he will spot some weight. If you bring Keith down he might be able to get Joe Kerr to come down and watch, I'm sure Joe would like to see him.

If anyone does have a player that isn't up to Corey's speed and needs weight just give me there name and he will let you know what he will give up. He will also play rack your own bar box 8-ball or 9-ball with anyone. amc4

Just want to say,

I love Cory (as a fan of the player :D , don't know him personally, or swing that way myself :p ).

But I love to watch him play, have a few of his Accu-Stats matches, he's one of "The Mans".

Out of curiosity (since I'm not going to be at this event but may meet him at some point) what weight would he give me at 8 ball? Bar box or 9ft :-)

Oh and would he play "anyone" at snooker too? ;-)

Sounds too good for me if he can make those sort of spots. The breaks and ball in hand and Im there :-)

Wow, Corey will take on all comers playing even, and expects to get a game. Maybe he should go to Disneyland instead, as his mind is obviously already in Fantasyland.

I will take the ghost on Chris's front table and Corey can play the game he beat at Derby city (all 15 in a bottom corner). Last time he was up (a couple of weeks ago) I proposed the game to Chris but I think Corey wanted to try it the next day. I talked to him for about an hour and mentioned a few times I would try that game. If he is interested in trying it Szuter knows how to get a hold of me. Let me know by thursday otherwise I am going to atlantic city this weekend.

I would love to see how fast his tune changed if Efren walked through the door with backers in tow. Or Alex P for that matter who is atm shooting the lights out and I am sure would have played Corey in Calgary if he wanted some.

Corey has a game in Indiana when he wants it from what i hear:)

It's a game he's already won at too i believe. Giving Brian Groce the 8 on a bar table. Ask him about it.

I kind of got a kick out of the proposition. We'll know that pool has made it big time WHEN we see that Disney commercial.

In an ideal world, Julie Kelly wins in Vegas this year. As she's walking away from the TV table with her cue case in tow, a reporter will ask, "Julie, now that you've won the 2005 BCA Open, where are you going from here?" In her Irish brogue, Julie responds with a big grin on her face: "Why, I'm going to Disney, of course."

Disney is not such a pipe dream anymore since the Orlando Open is right around the corner in August! ;)

Last time Corey and Keith matched up, it was my suggestion that Keith play him one-handed. Corey said he'd play ever shot with the rake. It didn't take long, and it wasn't pretty for Team McCready, with Corey coming out on top!

With bright eyes and youth on his side, the only game I can think of where Keith and Corey could match up on a level playing field is one-pocket, with Keith getting 8 to 7, all the breaks, AND, of course, a neutral racker!

Come get you some in D.C.! :D

BTW, at one time, Alex Pagulayan had an open challenge to the world to come to his home pool room in Canada and play EVEN 9-ball. He received no takers! A year later, he won the 2004 World Pool Championship in Taiwan!

JAM- Please tell me that Keith and Corey were out golfing when they took this photo?!? A top ranked Professional pool player proudly supporting our sport of billiards...wearing a "Titleist" hat! I have nothing against Corey, golf or Titleist, but comn' wear a Brunswick, Jacoby, Hustler, Predator, Simonis or something related to billiards! I think this is where the newbie to pool can lose interest, JMO! Now, if their on the golf course, then this comment is void!

Again, nothing against the names mentioned, just that it shows we don't promote our own sport when the opportunity knocks!

Thanks,
Zim

That pic was taken at the Big Apple tournament at Master's in NYC about 2 years ago. This was the year of the big black-out in the Northeast. Nobody could fly in or out, there was no electricity in New York City, and overhead highway signs on New Jersey Turnpike warned incoming travelers: "Avoid New York. Avoid New York."

Then-UPA President Charlie Williams was lucky to get in the city, arriving a little late due to travel nightmares. If memory serves me right, he had to play with another cue stick because his luggage was lost. He ended up winning it! :)

It was kind of helter skelter that weekend in NYC. What really impressed me the most, though, was seeing the great spirit of the New Yorkers who refused to let this stop the tournament from moving forward. Almost 100 players in the tournament, quite a few folks were missing their suitcases and cues that weekend! :(

Corey, like Keith, most likely picked out that hat because it matched his yellow shirt, but he only wore it to the players meeting, the day before the tournament. If you could read the one Keith's wearing, which also matches his shirt, it says "Belmont Stakes." I think Keith has got a hat in every color from every horse track in the U.S. :p

When the sponsored players are in competition during the tournaments, though, they're definitely wearing the patches and shirts from their sponsors proudly.

I like seeing the Hustlin logo, which is becoming increasingly more popular in my neck of the woods! I got a T-shirt for my daughter in Valley Forge, and now all of her friends want one (LOL).

They both have $2,000 to $5,000 a set action. I'll also give $200 dollars to anyone bringing in Francisco B. in to gamble. amc4
