Man, you gotta feel for the Prince of Pool today. He is surely having a hard time getting in gear and I think everyone watching knows what he is probably feeling.

Keep your head up brother. Everyone knows you can play already!

Is the game more fun or less fun because it is so much between the ears? Maybe ill just pray to the gods of all that is felt and spheres for young Corey.

Just goes to show you that they deal with the same demons we do. What a game!

I feel bad for him too. Does anyone know what the foul was on his jump shot? Looked clean to me.

Few if any, play perfect every day, and it can take miniscule cue ball and object ball position to tweak ones attitude except the best of em, but pool ONLY gives you Reality 24/7. Combine travel and room atmosphere and settling in.... all I can say is good luck and ''deal with it'' as you sleep in a new bed with new sounds. When the greatest players in the world were asked what's the most important thing in pool....the one most....MOST important secret said was...."avoid distractions''. If you wanna know who this person is just ask, tho it's ironic.

Aloha

It wouldn't be Earl would it?

That miss on the 9 and couple others APA level 6 shots bring him very close to Mr. Archer!
Must be proud... not!

any body know what the foul was ? looked good to me too, maybe he feathered the cueball, but he never queried it

I went back and looked at it again, stopping and starting the video in small increments. The camera shifts to a close-up at about 28:07 of the match, and at 28:08 you can see a red dot on the cue ball (visible between Corey's fingers) move slightly on a warm-up stroke. So he touched the cue ball prior to his jump stroke. Good catch by Nigel Rees.

We do all realize Corey might play the best pool tomorrow anyone has ever seen in history right? It only looks like that when it's not working for him let it go his way and he'll be a highlight reel by himself. Don't count him out yet. I expect a 7 rail carom tomorrow nothing but net

I just went and looked at it as well and I saw the same thing. He just barely feathered that cue ball. That is all it takes though.

Corey's very much a feel player, and spectacular when in his groove and letting out his stroke. This format and the tight pockets do not suit him. That said, I think his shot to launch the CB onto the rail to gain shape is the shot of the cup.

The pockets may be tight but with the new cloth these pockets are playing huge with the right speed. Corey is aiming poorly and that's it. Yes even corey can sight balls wrong. His stroke is fine. He will catch a gear!

Frosty is right, with Corey it's either fireworks or a train wreck all depending on whether he's on or not.

As my Pop used to say, "he's hell when he's well but lately he's sick a lot".
