It's a shame that the American male pros don't have an organization representing them in the year 2010. Elsewhere, though, due to match fixing and other unsavory practices on a field of green, a corruption hotline has been established.
Snooker’s governing body, the World Professional Billiards and Snooker Association has introduced a hotline so that professional snooker players can report incidents of match fixing.
The players will attend a meeting in Germany where the European Tour Championship is taking place. The meeting will inform players how they can report any suspicious activity or approaches in relation to match fixing.
Speaking at a press conference the WPSBA disciplinary chief David Douglas said, "It is a hotline and email service for the players that is anonymous or otherwise."
"The players can use it to report suspicious activities or to inquire about information about the rules and regulations,” added Douglas.

Here's John Higgins in his first tournament since April 2010 when all hell broke loose with him being accused of match fixing. Higgins made a triumphant return as he defeated Shaun Murphy to win the Euro Players Tour Championship in Hamm, Germany.
What do you think about a corruption hotline for pool? It might be a good idea to keep everything on the up and up, especially opening the doors for online betting on pocket billiards. :grin-square:
