Cowboy Jimmy Moore - Obviously Using Center to Edge

Lets have your students do that 5 out of 5 times, from different angles. Also, how but on banks since CTE is suppose to work on banks. How bout some caroms shots or off the rail stuff.

Add in the mix some postion play also.

If CTE works in all these case, you may have somthing. I can say for a fact my GB view works in all these cases. Also, if CTE, gets you within where the GB would be, why use something that doesn't get the CB right on the GB spot?

Ahem, as long as we're submitting requests: how about putting these students on a 9' Diamond, or double-shimmed GC? Bar boxes or full size tables where you can hit the rail a couple of diamonds from the pocket and still have it go need not apply.

Oh, believe me -- I will probably be one of the last guys you'll have to worry about when you finally put something out on this.

So your a GHOST ball player, fractional etc, What is your perfect method?

Lou using a secret aiming system,Well make your claims and I will start a thread on it LOL

OK, shhhh. (looking around to make sure no one is listening in...) IF you promise not to tell ANYONE else.... here, let's go over here to make sure no one can hear us....

I look at the shot...

I decide where I want it to go....

Where I need to play position to...

Figure out where and how I need to hit the cue ball to make that happen...

AND THEN....

I get down into shooting position, look at my cue tip, where it's lined up on the cue ball, and then look at the object ball (and if I can see it, the pocket), instantaneously run everything through my wetware (brain), and when I get the "Go" from Houston I pull the trigger.

OK. That's it. Remember. I told you this in confidence. DON'T tell anyone else.

Yes, it covers everything. Technically, it puts you on line with the extended (past the OB) hypotenuse of a triangle, within 0.09" of the base of where the ghost ball sits.

Maybe a case for Dr. Dave, but I'm not sure 0.09" is a small enough margin of error to make every ball even with perfect execution. Not certain.

Regardless, I don't think it's any closer than the average player would get with GB, or just with feel and experience. I haven't always found it easy picking out the aiming line, either. What I discovered is that it wasn't an inability to perceive the angles, just improper alignment. Getting down with the cue in the wrong place and feeding bad info to my brain. When I corrected the issue with alignment, I could see the angles easily.

Duckie, they were using ghost ball. That's why they knew they needed lessons. They couldn't make the shots 5 out of 5 times. If you bothered reading sometimes, instead of just wanting to flame, you would know that CTE isn't for off the rail shots (kicks), or caroms. But then yet, neither is ghost ball, so another red herring by someone fighting tooth and nail not to learn something that just might help their game. Also, you want to see it 5 for 5. I told of 1 of 1. Now, you try it with your system. Stand up, have someone cover the ball, then bend down and shoot it with your way. Good luck on getting 1 out of 50. :D

Lou, 9' Diamonds around here, and any Gold Crowns, all have bigger pockets than my table. Mine has 4 1/8" pockets with an extended shelf. On mine, if you hit the rail at all, you aren't making the ball.

hmmmm, OK. Nevermind :-)

Lou Figueroa

No warmup strokes??? If your alignment is off, and your houston doesn't say go, do you just stand there looking silly, or is there more to it?? I don't see how your system can work that way. If your alignment is off, your table time could really add up!

Yeah. I know. It's a really bad system and dan't work so good.

And if you want to play safe?

And if you want to play safe?

Incredibly, this "system" works for safety play. I decide what I want to do, where I and how I need to hit the cue ball to do it, and all else is the same. Unbelievably, it works for banks even better! In fact, after one memorable match, Efren came up to shake my hand and told me, "Louis bank good. Miss straight in."

'bout sums it up

I'm not really sure how CTE works with banking, but I wouldn't mind experimenting with you. We should play some banks sometime to see whose wushu is better. :)

I'm not sure what that would prove...

In any case, I don't play banks, but occasionally bunt them around playing 1pocket and am forced to shoot a bank now and then.

Did Houston say, "Um, no?" hahaha

On a separate note.. I have the first half of the jimmy moore match encoded. Where should I upload this?? It's obviously a copyright infringement and too long for Youtube. It's 16 minutes long.

Well, no, it's just that I really don't play banks. And I also don't like to engage in internet woofing.

But I'll tell you what: the next time we're somewhere with tables, we can match up for a respectable bet at any game you want: 9ball, 8ball, 1pocket, banks, 14.1, 3C, or snooker.

Ha. Ha.

I wasn't woofing - just would like to play sometime. I'll pick banks. Wasn't your post above a woof?
