CTE Testimonials

Well as I said I am Rereactional player, not World beater, have used CTE, am not expert, but I think the system has merit, have made shots with CTE I use to not make frequently. No expert, just my $.02 on subject.
You're a decent guy Cowboy and your testimony is most welcome here.
Keep on hittin' 'em into the center of the pocket, my man.

In my opinion, when Disguised Pivoting, It's harder to make it all work together if you "segment" things, after you find your visuals.
After the visuals are found, I sweep into or move into the pivot while seeing, both the CB and OB and their relation to Center CB as you come into the shot.
That way you make sure you are sweeping or pivoting into true Center CB, in relation to the shot you are trying to do.

So you’re OK with the “Aiming Conversation” forum becoming a conversation-free ad forum? Your house, I guess...

I am tired of some users constantly butting into any thread about CTE and bashing the system. I still don't get what you guys get so wound up over when it comes to CTE or any other aiming system. There are different ways to aim. If one of them works for you, that's great. If one of them doesn't work for you, then don't use it and move on with your life.

So, the thread was created for positive testimonials and that is what it will be. There is already a new thread bashing it, so I'm sure you will feel right at home there.

OK, but for the record, I've acknowledged many times that CTE can be a useful system, and even pointed out parts of it that I like. I only counter the false and absurd claims made about it.

Since the "Aiming Conversation" forum has finally, predictably devolved into pretty much a CTE-only forum, you probably won't have anybody but the CTE revenge trolls posting here soon enough - until the arguments die down and they realize they're only trolling themselves.

There are no CTE revenge trolls. You made it up. Yes you have acknowledged "usefullness" many times while in the same breath calling CTE users brainwashed cult members. Why are you upset about ONE thread where the ONLY testimonials are from users. You can start a thread outlining your SPECIFIC issues with CTE and those can be discussed with civility until you or someone else in your camp decides to start the insulting.

Man oh man....it just won't end.
Mr. Howerton makes a firm statement about leaving CTE users alone in this thread and that gentleman just cannot let it go and get along.
Mr. Howerton even makes a suggestion for the gentleman to make a thread of his own about his favorite aiming method(s). That's pretty generous.
I guess time will tell....as for me, back to the positive testimonies. (y)

Move on.

Don't lose any sleep over it.

Pool will survive.

“I think I got it (the visual process) tonight. I was seeing it (the stepping phenomenon) but not fully understanding it. I thoroughly went over pages 54-55…after going forward through the book and coming back to these pages with a little more knowledge, I saw it. Holy Moly!!”

When I trained for 4 days at Mr. Shuffett's studio on CTE Pro One, he kept telling me....."Poke your head out, remember the round barn lesson". I thought he was off his rocker because I'd always been told to stand behind the shot from the center of the cue ball. I discovered that concept was strictly for amateurs.
I was astonished to see how the balls would split the pocket repeatedly after getting the head and eyes at the proper offset.
I then understood what he meant when he said that most professionals, when in their ball address position, align and aim with their vision center slightly turned away from the center of the cueball in a visual offset.
It takes work at the table to re-program the eyes. But not for as long as some students might think.:)
I had people say to me...."You're flying all the way to Kentucky to take lessons on how to shoot better POOL? Are you crazy??"
I replied..."You're a country club golfer...would you fly somewhere to spend four days getting golf instructions from Butch Harmon?"
Then they didn't think I was so crazy after all. :)

Thank you so much for the CTE Aiming method and the videos on YouTube.
I'm a low type player and I've had all these guys telling me to do this and do that about aiming the shots and to "allow for throw" and a whole lot of stuff I do not understand.
Your method eliminates all that confusion and takes me right to the shot line. Then all I have to do is shoot straight and the ball goes in the hole.
I know I have stroking issues and I am working on those by doing the drills where you shoot the cue ball down the table and make it come back and hit the cue tip. That's a good practice drill.
Again thank you so much.

Stan told me that drill was a waste of time. He is the only one I have ever heard say that.

I have enjoyed studying your CTE book. I am 56 years old and have been aiming wrong when playing pool since I was 19 and in the Army. Now I am getting it down right. The accuracy that results is remarkable.
Your diagrams and help in practicing KNOWN shots is great...and there are thousands of them in the book to get a person on the right track.

This match isn't a testimonial. It is a good view of a professional player who publicly states without reservation that he uses Center to Edge aiming.

“Truth of the matter is Stan Shuffett is the one and only guy who has Center-to-Edge Aiming right. It’s a great system and I’ve been using Center-to-Edge Aiming since I was 18 and I’d never aim any other way.”—Pro Player Tyler Styer

“The pool world doesn't have the slightest clue as to how ground breaking and powerful your research is. Keep doing what you’re doing! In 100 years from now when they speak on billiards, your name will be in high regards for shifting the culture and raising the bar to its pinnacle. Thank you for everything. I'm enjoying the book.”

Thank you so much for promoting a sensible way to aim my pool shots in my league. My team members are catching on to it also and we're really winning more matches because of CTE. Most never heard of CTE Aiming until I started showing them how it really helps in potting balls. There are two big snooker tables where we play and I hope it will work as well on those too.
The only problem is now the league system is moving us all up and we have to give up ridiculous handicaps. (but that's nothing to be mad about...we're winning.)
