Cue Extensions

Hi Guys,
I am planning to buy a cue extension.
To those who already have, please provide suggestions and review on the existing cue extensions available in the market (for ex. Qextender, Cue Reach, Longoni, etc..).

Be carefull of reaches that slide over your cue, they have a tendancy to scratch your cue. you want to find one that locks onto the back of the cue like a Longoni extension.

Longoni cue extender is one of the best I have ever used. Their holding case is crap and I had one replaced twice and the third time I just got my money back.

If you buy it, go to Home Depot and buy some of those thin bungee cords that you can cut to the length you want and use that to strap the cue extender to the outside of your case unless you can put it inside of your pool case. The bungee cords work GREAT.

I have one that the end of the butt screws out and extends with a steel pin. It is great. I have a 3x4 case to carry the extra cue.
On the 14.1 Pool Forum, I posted a 105 ball run. I use the cue during the run on video. If you want the make of the cue, pm me. I will have to dig up the paper work to get the info but it's no problem.
 
I have two Hagers, a Tony Ryan, a Cue Reach and a Longoni. I prefer the Tony Ryan as it's the only one that fits all of my cues including the Sailors. I use a butterfly case so they all fit. All at once if I want! :groucho:

I have a Tony Ryan and a Longoni extension. I like the concept of the slip-on system of the Tony Ryan, as long as it will fit your particular cue (some butts may be too fat or too skinny). The Tony Ryan extension I bought was coming apart after several days of use. The glue-backed rubber inside the cavity where the butt slides into started peeling backwards and clogging-up the hole to where I could no longer get the butt into it. I had to remove the rubber. I thought the extension was "history" until I figured out a way to fix it. I made six 1/4" wide strips of hard foam rubber about 2 1/2" long and contact cemented them lengthwise, evenly spaced, into the cavity. I then took a black, polyester/rayon blend sock and worked the toe into and to the end of the cavity. I then rolled the rest of the sock over the tube and used electricians tape to hold it in place and PRESTO, a new and IMPROVED Tony Ryan extension. The sock will keep the foam rubber in place and will better protect the finish on your cue. And......it still makes that "cool" popping noise when you remove your cue!!!

FWIW, I like the construction and ease-of-use of the Longoni extension. If price is no object, this is the one I would recommend.
