Cuetec R360

gpeezy

for sale!
I never would have thought I would play with a Cuetec but I bought one over the weekend. Its either the same model or similar to the one that Shane uses. I like the hit, hard hit. The one I have, and might go for the others also, has a more forward balance but I like it. Has a long tapper, works good for me cause I have a long stroke. I like the linen being further back cause thats where my hand is anyway. It comes with an extension for long shots and some extra weight if I want to add some to the weight. I am as you can tell pleased so far. Very in-exspensive as Shane would say lol.

What were you shooting with previously, the sneaky in your sig? You like the Cuetec better?

I was playing with a 3/8 10 pin sneaky with a predator shaft. Yes so far I like the cuetec better. Its actually inlay also. Not stickers lol.

Im curious to know as well,,
how the 360 cuetec stacks against predator shafts ??
I'm going tonite to hit some on the 9 foot. I'll be able to make a better comparison to the amount of deflection compared to my 314 2. I think its gonna be a good player though.

bump!

I'd like to hear your opinion too after shooting tonight.

anyone else have experiences with the r360?

Well i've been adding a post here and there most everytime someone asks.
I got an R360 after i seen shane use one said to be right out of the box on the TAR match with Scott Frost. As you know he bbqed Frosty so i had to try one because they are so inexspensive. I have said since then and it still goes. My predator that has been my playing cue for 10 years is collecting dust. Which means i have liked the R360 very very much. What the OP says is correct imho. tyvm.

I wish i would have got the one that has the wrap in lower position. It goes all the way to the end.

i've also had a great experience with the R360, way better than previous cuetec shafts. the deflection is as low as the 314-2 and ob-1. typical long cuetec taper, but plays stiff because of the composite core. cuetec butts are thinner than most, so some folks might have to get used to that.

oh, i have one for up for sale in the 'For Sale' section if anyone is interested. I bought two awhile ago and decided I really only need one of them.

Sorry about the late update I was MIA for a couple a days. PLayed on the 9 ft and I like it. I may try a different ferrule on it after I wear this tip out. Its a good playing cue and if you were gonna look at cost vs play its leaning toward jam up. IMO. Its deflection isn't quite as low as a Preadator. It is a good shooting cue though. I'm pleased

Is the shaft sticky like the other cuetecs? is that the same one that alison is using too? if they made one that was a little shorter i think i'd buy one. what kind of pin does it come with. i think they'd sell more of their cues if they'd use pins that aftermarket cue makers use.

with cooler designs and more commonly used pins they'd sell more of their cues to real players instead of just beginners

I got my R360 last night, I am currently shooting with a Mezz WD700. And was pretty excited to compare the two shafts.

Well after unboxing the R360, rolled both the shaft and the butt on my table, and they had sent me a shaft with a slight wobble in it...ahhhh!

So my deflection test may not be as accurate. The Explorer tip, was really hard, and could use a change, the ferrule is kinda short and kinda transparent, you can almost see the airspace under the tip.

The Handle is similar to all cuetecs small and comfortable. But after hitting with this 360, I wasn't really impressed. It has that hollow feeling,
that you get from allot of other low deflection shafts. I doubt the R360 would hit better than a 314.

After shooting with it for a while. It reinforced just how good the WD700 Mezz shafts are, and that these shafts are totally underated. As the WD700 and HP2 shafts hit like regular shafts and give you low deflection characteristics. The R360 cue made is china, doesn't really compare to Made in Japan. You can tell in the fit and finish. But I guess you get what you pay for.

I will give another chance for the R360 tonight, maybe the cue will become accostumized to my humidified basement and straightened out.
I will post any additional info...

the cuetec r360 cue thats the one allison fisher shot with for a short time then shot with a maple cue and she only shot with four cuetec cues in her lifetime whe she was sponsered with them for 15and1/2half years almost 16 yrs

I've had my Cuetec 360R since Shane started using one that was not all customed out. I put the 6" exstention on after Earl went long, but before Shane went long. I've bought two new 360R shafts since I got it. Nothing wrong with the shafts, it's me not being careful and playing on a Valley. Valley's will chew a shaft up in no time at all if your not careful. I'm a "don't give a $hit kind of guy". Johnnyt
