That's just cold to kick a man when he is down......
I would have to say the "man" keeps kicking himself while he's down. The missed dates are common with anything custom, but not contacting customers week after week, who gave you money, when you miss deadline after deadline is inexcusable.

Frank's case is shipping this morning. I saw progress pics, but have not seen the finished product the last few days.
Chaz tells me it's the nicest one yet, and he learned a lot doing it.
I appreciate everyone's patience as we struggle to find our way.
Keep your fingers crossed for us, our luck has to change.

Yeah I know, but it is cold to advertise your cases in a thread like this.
I don't know if Chaz and Eric will recover from this unfortunate start. But from what I have seen of Chas' ideas he will be a breath of fresh air on the case scene if he sticks with it.
Who among us has never made a wrong decision somewhere in life. I can only imagine what Chaz is feeling at this moment, and Eric as well who has sunk a good chunk of his own money into this.
I am not saying that Tommy isn't a good business man and makes great cases. But it's really not cool to post what he did like that in this thread.
Tommy knows all about Engles and is probably good friends with him. Sam Engles cheated my friend Roy Malott out of about $850. http://www.indyq.com/cases/engles/index.html
So it's not like Tommy isn't aware of how people can get upside down in their life and end up not fulfilling their obligations.
And before this thread turns into another he said/she said abotu whether or not Mr. Engles did take care or Roy or not ask yourself what possible reason Roy Malott would have to gain by putting up such a notice that is defamatory and slanderous if it is not true. If in fact Mr. Engles sent the cases to Roy then he should have been able to easily provide a record of the delivery.
I think we all know that there have been plenty of Engles cases made in the intervening years. I have been told of Engles cases arriving with the smell of fresh glue on them.
I'd like to ask Mr. Engles to make it right with Roy and simply send him the $850 he owes or cases to cover it.
In any event, this type of story is nothing new in the billiard industry. One well respected member owes me $650 that it seems I will never see unfortunately.
All in all I'd like to get some of the around $10,000 or so I am owed by various people over the last 20 years.
Chaz has definitely painted himself into a corner here but there is no reason for a competitor to kick him in the ribs while he is on the floor.
However you could cruise on over to www.jbcases.com and check out what $1200 can buy you. A lot more than just a piece of dead elephant hide with no pockets for sure ;->

Nothing would make me happier, knowing the effect it would have in diffusing some of the heat from this thread.

Those lies Roy spread are old news John. The FedEx receipt where Roy signed for the cases is undeniable proof, you and Roy both know that is fact. He says he never got them, but have you asked him if that was the truth? Ask him why Sam has proof of delivery from FEDEX if he never got the cases. I know he is your best customer, so I can understand if you do not want to press for answers, and just take him at his word, but the facts are present and Roy is a liar.

Where is the receipt? Roy said he did receive cases and then turned around and sent them to Engles via next day air at Engles' request so that Mr. Engles could have them to show in Vegas. Roy has the signed receipt for that. And no one has ever shown a Fed Ex receipt showing the cases coming back to Roy. I did ask Roy this directly.
All I want to ask Tommy is what possible motivation does Roy have for doing this?
I mean seriously, Roy wanted to sell Engles cases. Every cue maker who deals with him and every case maker knows he is as good as gold. Roy offers to pay up front - sends money right away and waits patiently.
So what possible motivation would he have to outright lie about getting cases if he actually got them? Doesn't it seem really odd that he would post this on his website and draw such attention to it if he did actually get the cases? Why wouldn't he sell the cases and be done with it if he was unhappy about Mr. Engles' service or quality?
Please, I will be happy to entertain alternate theories of why Roy would risk his reputation publishing a lie on his website when it's so easily disproven as you say.
I can ask Roy if he has the Fedex receipts where he sent the cases to Engles in Vegas. What Roy has is a check that was cashed, a fedex receipt showing he shipped a package to Sam Engles in Vegas and nothing after that.

As for letting people know that they can get a case.....come on man.....you could have just pointed them to my website if you wanted to do that

Well I guess in his mind, getting the cases for less than a day and being asked to "loan" them to Sam Engles so that Sam would have something to show in Vegas and then never getting them back is the same as never having received them in the first place. Except now he is out the shipping to Vegas as well.
In any event I ask again what possible motive would Roy have to put this up if he had actually gotten the cases? Where are the cases? What reason would a person get the cases and then claim he didn't get them? Especially a person like Roy who buys tens if not hundreds of thousands of dollars' worth of cue and cases a year?

I also have a case ordered from Chaz and after reading the latest posts I decided to text him, he called me back right away and asked me to stop by his shop so here's a pic of Chaz working on Frank Cherry's case. He said this one is being shipped pretty soon.
I know that Chaz is doing the best he can and I am going to continue being patient, something tells me I will be very happy with the case once is finished.

long time no see everyone......heres the deal...the sewing machine is amazing. the interiors FINALLY got here thanks to alot of help from jb (great interiors and greatly appreciated) I am working constantly to get caught up and out of all the pics he took while here dirty had to post the ones of me looking directly into the sun 
( anyways. I wish he would have had the chance to post some of the better pics but i understand he will this evening.
on other notes. i dont go on here often because this thread has lost its integrity. too many arguements, if someone has a complaint then just email me or dirtypool and we will take care of it or update you the best we can. As far as selling other cases on my thread, me personally---i dont care. but as far as az, its kind of an unspoken rule to not do things like that. its a free market and free website. just start your own thread and noone will complain.
things are rolling smooth and as u will be able to see by the pics this evening i am not just cranking out cases. i am putting alot of work into each one. yes we have had alot of setbacks and i want to say that i am sorry to everyone. I am sure that when you get your case you will be satisfied. n u can kick me in the shin for making you wait so long..jk.
fast n loose. if u wanna complain just call me im sure it will be better to vent on the phone. i understand u were in a hurry to get your case because you didnt have one so i sent u that junk and u sold it. if i could have got the interior back you would have your case already. i was unable to predict the interior situation would have been so bad so i apologize for the delay but i hope when u see the pics that you will change your tone a little bit and see that i am trying to get you a quality product that is way beyond what you would get for that price anywhere else. plus u already made part of your money back selling what i sent to hold u over. I have actually lost money on our deal so bear with me and if u can get that case back i would like to get it back. thanks.
as far as the rest. we are using alligator, ostrich, elephant, shark, stingray. etc...so if anyone has any questions email me at chazdillon@aol.com or talk to dirtypool40. I work at night pt still and i am heavily involved on the cases during the day so i dont get online alot but i will try.
troyroy. i have no way of calling hongkong please email me or eric if u need anything. i cant have my phone on me at work because of a new manager so due to our time zones it has been impossable to answer plus i cant see any number on the caller id it just sais "unknown" like a telemarketer. thanks.
