custom 2x4 cases

thanks everyone....i will have pics of the inside in a few days. the buyer didnt like a tooled strap or lid so i told him i would switch em out for him. so i will have it back in a couple days. its a tube interior i have a pic with old ragged out tubes that i will post but i wanted to let u know that i didnt cover the red tubes, ill show u what the new ones look like soon.

and yes im working on templates for a 3x6 or 3x7. i have 2 orders for these already so ill have it worked out pretty soon. i just made the leather a little longer so when i do wrap it around the tubes i will have the right size and cut where neccessary. if anyones interested pm me, if i missed anyone elses questions please pm me also.

the lid is held on with 2 buttons on each side. u can order it where it attatches to one side so it doesnt come off completely.

Big Frank

I stopped by to see Chaz this week and got to see a case up close and personal, the one I saw looked very nice and well built. I think you will be happy with the cases once you get them. Tom

Im sure thats a lot of work for only one man doing it all by hand and learning on the fly. Im sure it will all be well worth the wait and for the price, u just cant complain.!!

thanks guys.......im really looking foreward to a few of the cases. some of them have some intricate tooling and blacktides cases is going to be awesome. ill have an answer on the white leather monday for ya....i found some real nice white deer or elk skin that would work well but its 100 bucks. i may just buy it if he sais that it will turn out nice. i need to see if i can slick the edge on it for a nice finish so i have to stop by and talk to the guys at the shop. im sure it will work though. if not we can tool in the pattern and paint it. ill work up some samples after i finish fast n looses case this weekend. i have been posting some updates on the case thread in the main forum if anyone wants to know whats been going on check that one out.

thanks again
chaz

oh yeah i tried to send u a message today feltmaster. i dont know if u got it.....im working on yours as well and phinmoles. you guys are the closest to being done. i just have to wrap your leather around the tubes and make a lid and bottom for your larger case. the 2x4s all have the wood for the lid and bottoms already cut out. once i get it wrapped and cut to size youll be done soon also. it takes a long time to hand stitch the pockets on so i dont know if having both done by monday is possible but im going to try my hardest to make it happen.

the next few cases are for wilson, mtdsports, tim, and evan..im working on something special for troyroy and evans is getting some celtic tooling done that ive been working on. johhnyg, blacktide, and dom are behind them. just to let everyone know where they stand as far as assembly goes. they are for the most part tooled out and dyed with the exceptions of a few. i have another couple people that are right behind them also and i will be using all the time i have to finish each persons case. once i get these knocked out i will be putting up a website and limiting myself to a couple cases a week max since the handstitching is taking so long. thanks for everyones patience. evan knows how long that stitching takes. check out his case he made recently. i talked to him today. :o)

i skipped the event that dragon promotions had going on at corner pockets this weekend to work on cases. you can see something about the female event on the main forum. they also had a open and handicapped event i think. check the website if anyone wants to play around the orlando area this weekend.

Yeah, forget about PLAYING pool now. Want to quit pool? Get in the billiard business.

I"d love to build a case or a cue. BUT..... you, as an expert at living this situation, have so very clearly pointed out, if I bought a lathe or a side of leather, I'd never get to practice. So it's learn how to build a case, set up a shop, learn how to use a lathe and other machinery or spend my spare time at the table trying to get better.

I've made my choice. I'll to a tip for me or for a friend. I'll put a strap on a case or clean up an old bag and make it look like new and then I'll go make love to my Diamond. :D There isn't enough time to do everything I'd like to do. I have to make a living, pay the credit card bills so I can buy more another Sailor and another Flowers. Good grief.

Jesus im stroke has gone to shits ever since i took those orders lol! my girlfriend woke up to me talking in my sleep about stitching up a case lol no time to play for me

Ya i heard he's almost done with yers. Grats  I think he's starting on mine sometime soon.

John,
I had a really close friend who owned a pool room for many years. He said that if you love to PLAY pool, never buy a pool room. I think he knew what he was talking about.
