Custom Cue owners publicly made fun of

Well someone should shoot a phony cue ad and e-mail it to those guys. Feature a fancy Balabushka at 40 years old and worth $ 25-35k and then show an aluminum can and say "This is what your Acura brings you in 40 years...

Funny. Good ad. I'm just glad they didn't get into $30.00 Moori tips made with eleven layers of African elephant foreskin.

Well, I have the custom cues, and the Swiss watches, but no tube amps. Does anyone here have all three (pre-transistor era tubes don't count)? lol

Yeah, it's a funny commercial. I think the tube amp one will resonate more with viewers, because most people have some awareness of pricey audiophile gear. The pool commercial won't resonate as much, and most viewers will see it as a more general shot at people who overspend on whatever form of luxury.

And then there is the reason for spending money on an overpriced Japanese car. Just throw your money away. You'll lose half the value in the first year.

actually Acura retains its value extremely well, far better than most other cars. Their initial build quality and cost of ownership are about as good as it gets. very high quality product.

Cue: Andy Gilbert
Watch: Tag Heuer
Does Guitar amp count? Fender, all tubes! (Also an original 1959 Ampeg Jet, lots o' tubes!)

I would LOVE to have a nice tube amp for my stereo!

not saying this is true for the Acura, but you do realize that there are 40ish year old cars that are bringing 7 figures at auction (and cost just a few grand new), right? How good was about any 426 Hemi car (just as an example) for an investment? lol No way I'm getting to work on/in my cue either, would have to refinish it WAY too often. ;)

regular player - Jacoby - fairly inexpensive
wear almost daily - Casio G-Shock - VERY inexpensive
amp used the most - Roland Cube - VERY inexpensive

I do have more expensive examples of each of those things, but those are the ones I USE the most. Was never one that tried to impress anyone, but can certainly appreciate finer things, just tend not to use them as much....

Not only are they making fun of custom cue owners but they are knocking Asians to boot. Down with Acura.

I will not buy a stinkin' Acura no matter how low their prices go.

Thanks for the heads up. They have just lost a customer. grrrrrr!

Would have been great if they had used a cue that actually looked like a luxury cue instead of a house cue.

Negative publicity is still good publicity which is better than no publicity. I think this is a good thing for the game.

There is a HUGE difference in a hemi and a 3. somthing liter aluminum motor. Acura's aren't muscle cars but if you want to equate to a 40 year old import...

Maybe a Subaru 360 is closer.... :)
