Danny Diliberto Lessons

Danny is heading to Chicago within the next few weeks and I would like to see if there is any interest in lessons. He gives lessons in 14.1, one pocket, or any other game that you might need help in.

I already have about 15 hours of interest. He could give lessons at the Illinois Billiards Club, Red Shoes Billiards, or anywhere in the area if there is enough interest. Looks like he will be in Chicago from May 17 to May 21.

He charges a very reasonable $50 per hour and if I am there, I will try to video the lesson and give you a dvd of the lesson.

If anyone is interested in lessons in Chicago, email me at gwtlaw@aol.com or pm me.

He would be driving here from Buffalo, New York and If anyone wanted lessons on his route to Chicago, it would probably be best to call him on his cell 954 483-0389.

Dennis,
Just wanted to partially hijack this thread as well as your initial thread on the 14.1 forum...sorry...

Danny D. usually stops in Indy just before or after his Chicago stops. Anyone in the Indianapolis area that would like lessons with Danny should just drop me a PM and I will arrange it. If you are semi-reputable you may even wangle an invitation to hold the lessons in Betmore's Basement:

Nice cue = $1000
Nice case = $800
Lessons with one of the all-time masters = $50 an hour
Couple of hours in Betmore's Basement = priceless (errrr....someone said worthless....is there a difference?.....please disregard this cost estimate...).

Willie, I have been dodging your 14.1 game for too long and am going to have to take my beating soon. If Danny is going to be stopping by let me know and Ill try to make it this time. I was unable to make it last time he was through but Id sure like to get some one pocket lessons from him! If he doesnt make it over lets see when we can get together for some 14.1.

It is amazing to me that for $50 an hour you can get lessons from a world champion like DiLiberto.

If you go, take some pics.

Woody,
I'll give you a call when he has firmed up a date.

You could always consider a couple of hours of lessons, followed by a few hours of 14.1 or one pocket with me - I'll bet he would coach us. If it works out, he will usually insist on cooking dinner. Could be a great way to spend a day. You are welcome to stay over - we have lots of room (lodging, food, beverages, and pool always free in Betmore's Basement, but the staff is occasionally surly...).

bump for firm date

Looks like Danny is giving lessons in Chicago next Monday to Friday.

I am scheduling them for him.

If interested, send me a pm or email at gwtlaw@aol.com.

I think he is probably going to Indianapolis after but I will wait to hear from Williebetmore on that leg of the trip.

Bump for Danny extended stay in Chicago

Just got off the horn with Danny.

He's got some lessons booked from 2-8 pm today at Red Shoes, from noon to 6 Tuesday at the Illinois Billiard Club and so far a few hours on Thursday at the Illinois Billiard Club.

It turns out that he is not leaving for Indianapolis until Sunday so he has a few more days in Chicago if someone is interested in taking a lesson.

Rep for dmgwalsh for setting this up.

Spent a few hours with Danny today and had a great time.

Thanks again
James
