Danny Smith vs Josh Roberts - updates?

not to mention it is unusually extra humid down there right now making the table sticking and triple tough. They had to go through different sets of balls before they could find a set that weren't getting sticky and wet from all the humidity

Something like the Philippines?---The 60 year old Efren or the 40 year old Efren?

What is the bet now? A lot of heart on both the players. Great match. Best of the year. Let's go Josh, bring it home.

Efren is the greatest no doubt but 35, 40, 50, 60 years old, don't think he ever banked as good as danny, john b etc, danny plays two and three railer, crazy off angle banks and plays position off them . Just my humble opinion I been wrong before and sure it wont be the last time.

Anyways after 64 games all even, what a fight

After 66 games they are all even. They are laughin and jokin with each other, not one dispute, argument, nothing all match. Just fading each other heat for big money anf lovin every minute of it. hats off to these two.

73 games danny +3. After another hard fought game that came down to the last ball on the table Danny makes the Knoxville Bear's 4 rail Prop challenge bank. Slightly different angle but the sickest shot in 70+ games.

This has absolutely been a nail biting, edge of your seat, don't wanna go to the restroom because you might miss something, kind of match! Being there in person and watching is great, but I wish I could hear the commentary as well. It would be interesting to hear what the commentators are saying.
for those not familiar with that table at Buffalo's, it is a monster! I have played on it and it is in no way the least bit forgiving! It's even difficult to hang one up on that table. The balls would rather spit out, almost like a snooker table, than hang in the jaws. So when you see these guys hang one, they hit it GOOD! Also I don't think the cloth Simonis, or at least not 860. On top of being tight as damnit, it is a bit slow, relatively, as well.
I look forward to dragging my tired body back down there today! I gotta say, for someone who loves one pocket, I would rather sit and watch this epic battle than play! This one will be talked about for a loooong time!

oh, someone asked what they raised it to...
there's $64k in the middle... fade that pressure!!!

I couldn't agree with you more. After watching the first day of this 12 hour battle I got up to watch the M Cup and it was boring.:sorry::duck::sorry: The same routine robotic shots and position play of years and years of 9ball couldn't begin to compare with the no holds barred barrage of big shots and giant action coming off of that table in Buffalo's Billiards. Some say these two couldn't hang with the great movers of the game but I respectively have to agree to disagree. These guys are taking the game of one pocket and wrapping a jet fueled atomic bomb on it. As Bobby Long, one of the commentators, stated one pocket is a game of chess, tradition style players are taking one turn in chess while these guys are getting three turns to one. What seem like a lot of reckless shots are really well calculated moves achieving what would take other players twenty minutes to do. Sometimes they sell out, but just as muchthey turn water into wine. I consider guys like Ronnie Allen and Cliff Joyner the founding grandfathers of power one pocket, While Scott Frost polished it and brought us POWER one pocket. Well these two "illigitiment" grandsons are bringing us the next level. We are watching the evolution of the next chapter in the great life of one pocket unfold before our very own eyes. This match has raised the bar for the future of this game.

How much does the winner get after the stake horse gets his? johnnyt

Where I come from, the pat response is, ''that's none of your business" And if they gave ya a number would you believe em?

One of my favorite question to a 114 year old American woman a few years back was this.

What do you attribute to your longevity....."tending to your own business''

This gal was born before 1900 and if you took someones horse, you got shot.:D and then you went on with your day.
