I have never talked to, nor have had any dealing with, "cuemaker" Dave Sutton.
I keep hearing about his self proclaimed greatness at making cues, but I would like to see his work and judge for myself. Maybe his cues will fit my eye and are something I would like to try.
Please, only Sutton cue pics in this thread. Those pics belong in the funny picture thread on the main forum!

Not sticking up for Dave but I have to ask
In this economy with everyone living paycheck to paycheck. When you order a cue and give up front money, does it ever enter your mind that any little offset in this persons life could send your order into the void? We are talking hobbyists, guys with little business experience, etc...
I mean really, you want to get your house painted and the painter is a recovering crack addict, and you feel bad for him, or his price is cheap, and you give him some start money... are you going to be surprised when he doesn't show up? Or needs more money to start because he just freebased your remaining deposit?
Again, I am not sticking up for Dave but when someone gives Eddie Wheat, Eason, or whomever money up front for a cue and the guy has made 2 cues publically, WTF are you thinking? and why are you surprised when it happens?
You guys are like the chicks with low cut dressed going through a prison yard.. just asking for it.

Joe, I have no bone with but could you please find another trade to pick on? I have painted for over 35 years, how about drywallers for instance. You have no idea how much of their work I've had to point up before painting!!! I do agree with most of your reply though and I do business with guys like Kikel & Lambros for example; established professionals!!

I bought a cue that Dave Sutton was selling a few years ago. It was a nice cue but I ended up selling it here on AZ. I liked the overall balance and playability so I ordered another cue from him. But I guess that whole story has been 'played out'. (Until the next victim comes along I guess.)
Anyway.. staying on topic.
Here is the Tad tribute cue from Dave Sutton:

What is the purpose of this thread other than to bring something up and rub it in the faces of other forum members who have never received the cues they paid for.
I hope that things are taken care of soon and that those due either refunds for items or cues that have not been shipped are taken care of.
Until all has been made right threads like this are certainly in very very poor taste, and I hope that I am not the only one feels this way. However, it doesn't really matter because if my comments seem offensive to some of you then my intent is clear, I am only offering an opinion which is my right.
