To set the record straight, David health is on & off. in order to get in touch with David you need to contact Ed Young
Also, If you looking to have a new cue build by David, expect the starting price around 8K & upward for plain 6 pointer & David might not even wants to build any 6 pointer. He only wants to build fancy cue & 1 of kind Kersenbrocks these days. hope this might help you out

What Tesla did would have been equivalent in the pool world to building the world's best pool cues without ever having seen a pool table or a pool cue. He was so far ahead of his peers it was scary, and while he should have been a billionaire he died nearly broke.

No. His first post implied that he knew that was the standard way to contact DPK and wasn't having any luck. So a bunch of people calling him an idiot for asking another way in wasn't really helpful. But I'm just guessing here. And the manners of most of the people that told him that were a little bit lacking.

DPK has some mental health issues as most of us in Chicago know. Ed tells me he has to turn his phone off at the shop because David gets upset if he hears it. If David gets upset, he stops working. Ed has to handle David with kid gloves.
I know Ed is hard to get replies from. Usually if I text him, he calls me right back. He has had a Davis blank of mine for years, and also I gave him another deposit quite a while ago for a cue. When I talk to him, I usually say, don't worry about me; I am in no hurry. Maybe that is why he calls me back. I know it is hard for him to promise things at a certain date, because there is a degree of uncertainty in his shop which I suspect may be related to David's mental problems.
