I've got Lining listed twice...oops...maybe someone can correct...trying to get the results up asap without walking the whole room.

btw: Hann was running a few racks and made a bad mistake to scrach but N VDB messed up an easy out...then Quinten messed up an easy out...otherwise he would have goen 6-1 with a break that's working well today. He must have seen the line!

Just saw Earl Strickland, and he as well as Sandor Tot lost their first matches. However, it's still early in this race, and the cream always rises to the top. The look on the players' faces says it all. When they step out into the hallway between matches, they're all deep in thought, focused, and have their game faces on. This is serious money, and each one wants desparately to advance to the next round.

The coverage on the IPT website is now real-time. InsidePOOL has their equipment set up right next to where the players turn in their score cards after each match and get post up the results a whole lot easier now that the field has lessened. The pictures are priceless on the IPT website, and I'm really digging reading all about it from my hotel room when I'm not downstairs in the tournament room.

Harry Platis and his lovely wife are in town, and last night at the Rio, he was in a $1,000 qualifier looking like he was going to win it. There are over 100 players that put up $1,000, and the top 40 advance to the big $10 million purse.

Hold on. Colin just arrived, and he has up-to-date results. I'm going to let him post on my handle because one of the six computers is down.

Here's Colin.

Colin...under JAM's account

I feel for Darren Appleton - he's played pretty well this week so far. Never like to see anyone make a mistake at hill-hill. Still think he'll make it out of that group though.

Round 1 matches are all finished.

A few more results.

Peach 8-7 Lely. Lely had a longish but quite makable 1/2 ball shot on the 8 to win 8-6 but over cut it. Peach cleaned up and then BRO'd for the win.

Luat 8-7 Orcollo
Beaufils another surprise with an 8-6 over Orcollo.

Colin

ps. I'll check up on the Matlock game.
