Day 4 (last 36) Results.

Quinten won 8-5

Hill was 7-4 up on Busta and lost position on the 8 ball, just missing the double. Busta made 2 dry breaks on the comeback but Mick messed them up.

At 7-7 all after Mick fluffed it, Busta missed a pretty easy shot and whacked his cue on the ground in disgust. A nervous and pumped Mick Hill struggled with a not too hard 4 ball finish and shouted and jumped with delight as he made a nervous 8-ball to win 8-7.

A few moments later Putnik shouted with delight after an 8-6 win over Efren.

The boys are getting nervous and pumped out there.

Not sure what Earl said to Nick after he beat him 8-7, but I don't think Nick liked it!

It's funny listening to Earl as he tries to run out. Wow! Earl and Van De Berg are about to get into a fight!!! Something about Van De Berg not looking Earl in the eye when Earl went to shake his hand after Earl won.

Are Mick Hill & Michael Hill (both from England) the same person? Is Mick a nickname for Michael in England?

Forget about Earl and his antics...Ivica Putnik wins over Efren! Yeah! Now that's your real story of the day.

I can't imagine how he must feel now. Beating your hero must feel very special.

:D :D :D

Darren Appleton beat Marlon Manalo 8-4 a few minutes ago and Putnik beat Efren.

Quinten was thrashed 8-1 (I think...they have 8-4 on the results board here) by Earl. He said he missed a couple of shots and Earl played strong putting together a couple of small packs.

The tension is really building here...players are sweating their games real hard. Should be a lot of emotions in the last round as placings are decided.

Colin...under JAM's account.

The Russian wins versus Raj Hundal.

I tried to ask him about his cue stick, hoping to provide a few details, but his replay was, "It's a secret," and then is smiled broadly.

I asked him what he'd do if he won $350,000, and he said he's buy a bigger apartment in Russia. Apparently, the apartments are quite expensive there, and where he is living, there is not a lot of room. If an American can't win this thing, then I've got a few European favorites. Heck, I've got a few Filipino favorites too. But until there's the last American standing, I still say:

USA, all the way!

JAM

Efren Reyes on the hill with 7 versus Francisco Bustamante with 5.

Earl climbs to 4, with Dee Adkins still at 5, racing to 8.

JAM

Alex "The Lion" Pagulayan with 4 against Netherlands' Super Star Niels Feijen with 5. Alex Lely of the Netherlands is still in this fight as well.

Will the Lion roar when he gets to 8, or will the Dutchman fly his way to the end of this match? It's a bloody battle to the finish. Each match is worth a whole lot, and the difference in prize money is $17,000 versus $30,000.

@TannerPruess
