Just to clarify a tad - the record he broke was for the 73 year history of this event. He broke Johnny and ?Ortman's? record - they had both hit 174.

This is crazy I can't believe how much people complain about the smallest things busty is one of the best sports in this game. The match was over, busty was just doing what he always does, entertaining.
Well, yes and no. The tradition is to stop shooting when the winning ball is made. That is the run that counts for the record books as a tournament run. The 200 breaks Procita's record, I think. Anything beyond 200 would be going for 527. I don't think Darren had time for that.
My feeling: in a "World" tournament, the players should not be allowed to continue.
Like everyone already said, I don't think Daz minded.
Maybe he said something like "I don't want to continue/ I'm tired" etc to Busti that we didn't hear. Who knows.
Busti probably wouldn't have done it to someone like Earl or someone like Wang Can. He probably would have done the same to Alex.

Thanks yes happy .. Obviously sick I didn't win final but it happens ..
But first time I ever played straight pool was 2008 dcc and I won the tournament .. Beating Mika, smitty Nd Fiejen in final since then I not looked back 14 tournaments played won 6 of them 3finals 3 semis and 2 5th place finishes .. Not bad . I love straight pool .

and fwiw, it's understandable that you feel bad about not winning the final. I watched that match, as well, and it def could have gone either way.
but right on the heels of your magic *200*, or any similar truly amazing match (you've had some of those :thumbup
, for that matter, it's prob not very unusual to have a let down right after.meanwhile, all 14.1 players are now on notice that you mean business. :wink:
