Good to see you again Ken! The DCC is such a great event, I wouldn't miss it for the world.
As for Drake, today is his 18th birthday... no better way for an 18 year old pool player to spend his day than at the DCC.
Drake had never played in a Bank tournament and was a little nervous about that on Thurs evening. I played him some banks and it did not take long for me to tell him he had nothing to worry about.
He plays well beyond his age in terms of poise (as Mark said) and moving. Most young players want to fire at everything, but Drake makes a lot of very mature decisions at the table. Credit goes to his dad Dale. Dale is the person that got me into pool and cues back in the 80's.
Dale understands the ins and outs of pool, and has his son Drake on the only path he would ever let him go down as a pool player. Having Mark Wilson and Nick Varner as close friends certainly helps mold a young player into a mature and respectful player.
Best of luck to Drake at Lindenwood College!
