Deal gone bad on superior cues site

So I've been looking for a cue to get back into the pool for awhile now and I thought I found one till the buyer lied to me.I went on AZ and click the link to superior cues site and I saw the OMEN cue for sale on the front page that martin was listing for a guy name don so I contact don about the cue and I ask him plenty of time that if the cue has a weight bolt in the butt? he stated NO I mean I prob ask him about 15-20 times cause I told him I don't like cue with weight bolt in it.People who know me know that that's the first question I ask when I ask about the cue I'm trying to buy cause I am a sucker for a cue with no weight bolt in the butt.Then He keep telling me that there is no weight bolt.I say are you sure cause sometime it's deep in there and you'll need a flash light to see and of course he stated NO again so we agree on a deal and of course I gift paypal him.My dumb a$$ didn't learn from the last time when I got scam for $160 but I thought it was safe cause it was on martin website so he has to be a good friend with martin or something.

He shipped the cue out on wedensday and I got it delivered this morning at my work and the very first thing I look at when I took the cue from the tube is to see if there's a weight bolt in the butt and of course there is one so I thought ok he prob counldnt see it it cause you'll need a flash but if you hold the butt in the angel then you can see the bolt without the flash.

So I sent Don a text with a pic of the butt with the bolt in then he call me back 10 min later.Then I told him that there's a weight bolt in the cue and I don't like it cause I ask him plenty of time already if there is one or not or I wouldn't even try to deal if there is one cause of the being in the weight it is.Then he accuse me of putting the bolt in the butt so I can give hime an excuse to return it.Is this guy nuts??? I told him who the hell on earth would do that??? just to put the bolt in so he can return the cue.So then he told me that every cues have weight bolt anyway so why don't I just take the bolt out and play with it

Then I told him no way cause then that would reduce the weight on the cue and it;s won't be the weight I like anymore and there's a reason why I paid over a grand for this cue cause I thought the cue has no weight bolt then he hung up on me! can you believe that???? So I call him back right away cause I thought It prob a drop call wish I hope it was but of course he didn't pick up my phone call so I text him to call me back and why did he hung up on me and won't even pick up my phone and of course he never reply or call back>

Then I reach out to martin at superior cues cause the cue was on his site for sale so I thought he would at least talk to the guy for me.I call and left him a message and I try calling again but martin wouldn't even pick up my phone call.Instead he text me saying that " He doesn't have anything to do with what don does to me.He listed the cue as a courtesy and had nothing to do with this transaction" really??? so why the hell is the cue on his site???? And that's part of the reason why I dealt with don cause I thought it would very safe due to it was on martin site but NO NO NO martin won't even talk to me or call about this issue at all.Now if I list a cue for someone and deal went bad...I will do whatever it take to make it right or at least talk to my friend so him or her can make it right for the buyer.

This is the reason why AZ has slow down and cue market got worst cause of situation like this.I got F by a well know cue maker by putting fake ivory on my cue and I never post about it and I feel like I've been carry that weight on my back since cause I didn't let the world know of what he did.Then I got scam try to buy $160 cue for my friend who play in league and everyone one thought I jump the gun on the seller.Well I ain't gonna carry anymore weight on my back anymore so I decide that I have to post this for people to know that DO NOT buy cue on martin site if it's not his cause He had nothing to do with it if it's gone bad.I'm just gonna list the cue for sale and won't contact those 2 anymore cause I don't want anything to do with them ever again.Go head and chimp in on your thought like how we AZer do.Have a wonderful day and week guys.Mine got better after this post

I just have this feeling we are not hearing the Whole story .

Wonder if he tried to buy the cue , cutting Martin out of any commition due to Martin for listing the cue . Saving money but screwing Martin ???

Might Not be the case , but sure raises some Eye brows . Jim

Sorry bro, I know you NEVER play with weight bolts in the cue and even remove the rubber bumpers to remove even more weight from the back end of the cue!!!

Bottom line, be "truthful" with people!!! Pooky would never ship the money, if the cue was "accurately" described. The seller obviously knew this and was only interested in telling the seller "only" what he wanted to hear to ship the funds and let the chips fall where they may! Pretty messed up thing to do and happens way to often!

I have encountered this with "Senior" members of the site and well established businesses

1. telling members items are in stock when they are not!
2. Sending items that differ from what was pictured or described/agreed upon
3. Not returning calls or messages

Thanks for the heads up on the superior cues and this guy "Don"

Bottom line is if the buyer called the seller immediately after receiving the cue and he wasn't happy, take the cue back. Why be a scumbag?

I've done multiple deals with Pookster and I will say he's a stand up dude. I am very aware of his love for cues with no weight bolt. We all have our thing, and that's definitely his. I really hope this gets fixed. It just happened today, so there was s no reason he shouldn't be able to return the cue for his money back since it was not as described by seller. I hope Martin and Don's reputation mean more to them than screwing someone on a sale. Just my opinion...

If Martin listed it on his site, it is 100% his responsibility to make it right. End of story.

Too bad I didn't read your post before I read the original post.
Believe it or not I read every word, it wasn't easy but I got through it one line at a time.
By the time I struggled through it all I could remember was a lighting issue and something about a weight bolt.
Pook should edit his post with your edited version.

I don't know Don Roland, but Pook & Martin both have great reputations.
 
Not taking sides as both seem to be ok guys from other members perspective.

All I know is that I have a small pocket flash light. It has an approx 4" bendable stem on it with a small enuff bulb on the end to put down any bored hole in the butt sleeve.

Once the bumper is off, it is pretty easy to tell whether a cue has a bolt in it or not.

Pookster, from how I read your post you did not contact Martin @superior cues about this cue
but made the deal directly with Don, the owner of the cue? If that is how it happened then
you are pissed at Martin for no reason. However, if you did deal with Martin then it is a different story.
