What kind of success/failure have any of you had in dealing with Chris? I know I haven't dealt with many of you in the past, and from what I have read, I believe his reputation to be quite good. Thanks.

Never done business with him, but he's been on here and ebay for quite some time, and I 've never heard anything bad.

Scott,

I have done several deals with Chris. You would be hard pressed to find anyone that is more trustworthy and ethical. I have had dealings for some high end cues and cases with Chris that have all gone as smooth as you could ever hope for. Five stars for sure!

Regards,

Steve

Chris sucks!!!

Just kidding :D

I've shipped my Scruggs sneaky to him without payment ... after looking at the cue, he thought the cue was better than his expectation and gave me additional money to cover the PayPal fee - without me asking for it.

I thought it was very generous gesture on his part.

While I've yet to buy from him, he's been very helpful to me via emails regarding cues and sharing his opinion/advice (which is why I felt secure enough to ship the cue to him without upfront payment).

I have a great dealing with him. He is a true joy to work with

HIGHLY RECOMMEND HIM

Chris has taken the time to answer several of my questions regarding Palmer cues, cases, and other things.

Thanks Chris for all the help.

:) :)

The Lone Ranger ain't got nuthin' on Chris.

He is definitely one of the "white hats".

I also have had transations with Chris. All may I state very pleasant.

I just wish all Cue Dealer/Collectors had Chris's integrety, we would live in a much better enviroment.

My name is Randy Goettlicher (BCA Master Instructor) and I owned at one time the largest "Palmer Cue" collection known. Chris now has part of that collection.

Thanks.....randyg

Then why are you sticking your tongue out at him? :D

Chris was one of the first people i dealt with here on a-z and that experience led me to stay here on a-z. i have bought and sold many cues, mostly on ebay, and i have to say that chris tate is probably the most reputable and honest person i have dealt with. i would not hesitate to do more transactions with him and i highly recommend him to others. you will be very satisfied and happy with your dealings with chris. thanx.

You will not find a more honest person than Chris Tate. He is 100% trustworthy, you will not have any troubles whatsoever. Actually, if you are into cues or billiards in general he has a wealth of information and is generous in sharing his knowledge.

He's a hell of a good player too.

Two thumbs up. Been dealing with Chris for years and he was never anything but polite and professional. And he's from the same town as Bob Barker and the Price is Right... how cool is that. ;)

Thanks to all who replied.

Chris, see what I mean!

This is the best group right here to deal with. It's nice to have good connections with people you can trust. I respect each of them 100%.

Even those stinkin' UCLA and 'Bama fans.

Thanks a lot guys!

Chris

I can tell you from experience, his word is good!!! I bought a cue on e-bay that he had posted. It was a vintage huebler chess cue with ivory chess pieces and a stag horn joint. When I got the cue I was less than happy because the joint looked streaked with gray. I was not familiar with stag horn and I really didn't see it that well on e-bay. He took that cue back no questions asked!!!! and very gentlemanly about it I might add. I would not hesitate to do business with him again!.
