Initial experimental cues will no longer be available.
The excitement of offering you a chance to own the best hitting cue, I ever had ,has been great.

The cue has caused quite a controversy up till now.I admit my marketing strategy was not orthodox. Why? When I first got on az I was amazed at all of the ideas that people thought were important.

Let me give you an example

Everyone said that I could not sell a cue without pictures.I proved that I could by selling dozens. Why didn't I post pictures at first?Because I knew that most people jump to a conclusion based on appearances. For example when they saw my joint, they said it was just like this,or just like that.Wrong thinking! If you look at an Adams steel joint and the picture is the same thread that Balabushka used ,Is it right to say an Adams is just like a Balabushka.Or Szamboti,or Scruggs..this type of thinking that just because the joint is the same that the cues or the play is the same.

I have refused to talk details with you because I don't think that all the reasons (people think a cue is good )make sense.I've seen people order the same balance point, weight etc and never get a cue that was what they wanted.AND i am not just talking about the average az er,I am talking about well known custom cue makers.

What about great pool players? Schon used to sponser a well known champion,he always demanded certain specs,19.25,certain woods, etc Well one day this player saw a $12,000 cue and asked about it,oh no said Evan Clark that cue is not your specs. But I like it says the player, but it weighs 21ounces,no problem says the player who takes the 21ounce cue and wins the U S OPEN. the point-the specs were not so important.

Well(now please don't be offended) when I got on az many people were talking about technical things like balance point etc and when I asked ,some of the really great cue makers agreed that they didn't know what they were talking about! So I asked you to buy in the dark because I knew the cue was right,

I asked you to believe me and take a chance if you could afford it.

To those of you who have,I promise to give you the best cue I ever hit.I don't know how much the taper helps,I don't know if its the way we shaped the butt, maybe the wood joint, the unusual ferrule construction,I honestly don't know.I think it is a little bit of everything.I do know it is easy to play with, easy to draw, easy to control, best of all easy to pocket balls

Some of you may read this and think I am arrogant for thinking that most of you don't know much about what goes into making one cue play good while another one that has the same joint, etc plays bad.BUT ITS TRUE.i
iF YOU EVER EXPECTto improve sometimes you need to come face to face with the fact that what you think you know needs to be tested. This type of talking may threaten some of you ,you may find change frightening and not welcome this opportunity to test it.

i would have to agree that it sounds arrogant when you say that most people here don't know what goes into making a good playing cuei am not calling you arrogant but that statement does exude arrogance.i also respectfully disagree;i think lots of people here are actually pretty knowledgeable when it come to cues and what makes a good one.

yup, I am in this boat. And I have stayed out of the discussion until now. Wood joint, I have one, does it play well? It plays super .... Is yours original? Nope. Not that I know of, but, WTF do I know. I am going to read the posts with interest when folks get their cues for sure, and would I spend 300 bucks to improve my game? In a heartbeat, and have, and will again. BUT I'll wait for the secondary market on these.

You accidentally made a good cue but can't attribute it to anything?

i'd really like to try one of these. but like dean said he thinks about 50% will love the cue and the others won't. by that logic i figure i can wait for the secondary market for one of the owners to not like the cue.

Now lets say for the sake of argument only 2 of the first 4 buyers like the cue,you have to ask yourself one question...."Is it worth $300 to take a chance that I could play better pool' would that be an even money bet?Aren't pool players sopposed to like to gamble anyway?

Yeah I'm sure it wasn't hypothetical or anything. I'm not defending the guy or his selling tactics (which apparently worked beautifully) but this is a rediculous thing to say about a CLEARLY and OBVIOUSLY hypothetical statement. Very rediculous actually.
