I am amazed that at least one of the favorite most touted cues on this thread actually has his cues made by someone else.I get a laugh every time I hear his cues praised, when not a single person has reported being his shop and the production of his cues.
The thing about my deano cues is I designed them to play good,I took the joint from the billiard cues, big wood screw because it felt good and moved the cue ball better for me.
I took the taper from a cross between southwest and a house cue, stiff and soft. I hate the way Meucci plays so I got as far as possible from that. Some people like them, but I don't like pro taper, its too wimpy and deflects unpredictably
I took this from here, this from that, had one made and WALLA i had the best playing cue I ever saw. At least for me(and about 70 other including some great players)
I have 4 left, when these are gone you are going to be out of luck because there will be no more. The cue is too expensive to make ,I would have to sell it for $800 and fairly high volumn to make it worth while. It was my original intent to sell these as a proto type and then sell fancy cues once you saw how good they hit.Unfortunately this cuemaking is a lot more difficult than I realized.
