Dennis Hatch

Dennis took a hiatus from pool for a spell, and as was stated earlier in Dennis is an old-school pool player who today is taking a stab at being a tournament soldier, and by all accounts, everything he plays in, he seems to do well. He currently is the pride of New York, with a strong backing of followers.
:

Dennis does have a rabiid following but NY is practically 2 states in one. There is the the NY metro area and then there is the the rest of the State, rolling hills, farms and farmers. Dennis is the pride of the latter. They really do go gaga for him upstate.

I cant recall ever seeing him in the metro area though im sure he has been around a time or two.

...although I know DH can play I never really thought of him as a great player just average pro player really...

Yeah, but he is your average pro player without picking up a stick for months at a time. If he can stay motivated to play it goes up from there.

For sure, that is true. I have never seen so many macho men with perfectly shaped eyebrows in my life as I did when I met the NYC crew.

Here's a pic representing the lower part of Yankee Country -- a sampling of NYC's crew of pool-playing son-of-a-guns! :)

And check out their perfect eyebrows. They're to die for! ;)

Here's Dennis' Uncle Mark. I found him to be charming and fun to be around! :)

Uncle Mark, Frankie White, Keith McCready, and a virgin dice thrower young'n decided to give Turning Stone Casino craps a try. $15,000 later, everybody had a smile on their face!

Jenny, any monies left from that score we made????

I need to hold something.....

Now, how did I know that? LOL!

Dennis never leaves home without her!

Here's one of my faves of Dennis and Keith. Actually, I think Dennis Hatch is a very handsome young man. :)

And is capable of KILLING you. Definitely one not to cross. I was messing around with him, once, on hand speed. Whew, quick AND strong.

Certainly something i have never noticed and if i find myself looking at guy's eyebrows now.. Nevermind -ain't no way that is gonna happen!

Maybe he has been riding something else in Vegass with that 20 large he won:eek::eek:

Funny. I'm checking the mail. He did well for me this time. Four small bets, four small wins. I have never lost on him when he played. Never. Either he can always outrun the nuts, or he matches up like a bandit.

The letter should be there soon, I sent it the day I said I did, that is the only match I have lost in about six month:(:( I have already recovered thanks to Chris winning and losing:):)

It's too bad that free site pro-pool video isn't still up. There were a lot of great matches on that site with Dennis in them.

He came in for the Windy City Classic a few years ago, (in part for the barbox 8 ball tourney) and if I recall correctly, he wasn't an outstanding favorite in the calcutta. He was close or tied with at lest two other players, Danny Harriman might have been one of them, or someone of equal skill.

When Dennis won, folks seemed a little surprised.

Oh well! :D

Sounds like Dennis is alot like Danny Dilberto. Not throwing rocks but they both sound like everything comes pretty easily for them concerning hand eye coordination and athletics.

So folks are like that and then there seems to be folks like me that does everything poorly.....:(

LOL

That's by far the best picture of Gypsy ever taken. You overcame a very high degree of difficulty

Yes NY does have its share of good players and it should considering there are 8 million people around. I play in a handicapped event where I am at the lowest spot (The special 5) along with about 20 others. It's special 5, the 5, the 6, the 7, the 8, the 9, the +1, the + 2 etc. Most Special 5's can run a rack, maybe 2 at times. I have run a 3 and I'd bet some 5's have run 4. Gypsy is a 7 or 8. That should give you some idea of the depth in NYC.

The Special 5-(it does sound very special doesnt it?) Anyway many special 5's can play some.

"GIMMI A LIL NUMBA NOW, PAPI"

How can I ever forget that great weekend we had. Kieth and I were on cloud nine, as I wuz hittin all those numba's I threw for what, bout 40 minutes or so with out crappin out...WOW what a "ROLL" I wuz on.
It wuz getting real serious as Kieth would plant a big wet one on my cheek, as each time a hit a "HARD WAY" for a dime a throw.

Here's a few of Kieth's signiture dice throwing lines:
Gimmi A LIL Numba Now
Frankie, how bout that 4 an a port hole..(5)
A LIL 3 and a pimple..(4)
How bout that double box(hard 8)

Jenny, I should tell the horse race story....Remember that one, over at Bob Maidoff's place(OTB)...LOL LOL
