And what is he? “The Machine” or “The Ghost”?
So DO dumped? There could also be some lemonade-ing going on from the Pinoy side.
What you see is not what you get.
The pinoys are GAMBLERS.... and I'm NOT being negative, that's how they roll, nothing wrong with it.
They are not Ralph Souquets, or Thorston Hollmans.
They are card players with moving objects.
Now D.O. can say, I'm not the player I used to be.
And get a better game.
I've heard in the past, they win about 80% of all their personal bets.
DO realized, being close, i$ not good for action.
He's been sidelined over there due to the visa issues. I don't see him being in top form playing players in his country. Sucks....but it's a big issue. This thread should be renamed "Making Excuses for Dennis." Fargo says Fedor's the better player and so do I.
If Dennis didn't try his darndest to win this and used it to set up future action, a) all those who paid for this match should get a refund and b) these long-race matches are even less consequential than I thought.
The better player won. Yes, it often goes that way.
I dont get it.He's been sidelined over there due to the visa issues. I don't see him being in top form playing players in his country. Sucks....but it's a big issue.
It's just the opposite. There are more tough opponents in the Philippines than in any other country in the world. There's no better place to get in one's top form. Americans have understood this for decades and that's why so many of them travel over there to heighten their competitive pedigrees. He's been sidelined over there due to the visa issues. I call it " uninspired" play.So DO dumped?
Genius.
What was final score? 90 to 54....that was a horseFing.
I'm sure Fedor would give him the 8 ball, last 2 or 10 games on the wire....but that makes DO a sucker.
Pool is money, pool is business. So DO dumped?
Genius.

How do you get action asking for the nuts?Pool is money, pool is business.
Gambling is what it is.
How about you stake Ghorst?
Spot DO 40 games on the wire in a race to 90.
Let us know how that goes.
To lose this badly in alternate break is horrible....that should keep it close, especially the better the players.I believe winner break format with rules thst Dennis and SVB played Dennis Orcollo wins
What happens to pool when Fedor peaks? It's just the opposite. There are more tough opponents in the Philippines than in any other country in the world. In Dennis and Fedor, we had two different guys who've had the same problem of late --- inability to play the full international schedule. Rest assured that Fedor isn't 100% yet either.
As for stress level, Dennis is barred from going to the United States. Fedor cannot safely visit his home country, cutting himself off from his family and friends. Fedor has had to start all over in life, and has, in my opinion, had the tougher experience of late than Dennis.
Fedor is the best in the world with unlimited potential.I dont get it.
I wld presume in my humble opinion that the level of play wld probably be higher in the Philippines
are you saying that its affecting Dennis’s form by playing better skilled players ?
Fedor will never dominate, because the quality at the top is almost mind-blowing right now, but assuming he regains his form of 2020, he'll be in the conversation for best player for years. With two DCC Master of the Table awards under his belt, he's probably already the best all-around player, but he'll need to snap off a few more major nine ball titles before we can call him Filler's equal. What happens to pool when Fedor peaks?
Because of the below statement. How do you get action asking for the nuts?
DO is an old man with alot of wear on the tires...a story as old as time.
You have basically sounded the death knell for American pool players, SVB included. The beauty of this discussion, however, is that I'm not sure Fedor's fellow twenty-something superstars (Filler, Zielinski, Kaci), have peaked yet, either. Ko Ping Chung is just 27 and he still seems to be getting better. We're seeing a level that was once unfathomable and where things will land is not so easily gauged.
The Russian invasion of Ukraine would be a much better way to describe it. The way you put it could lead some to believe that the Ukrainians were the aggressors.Fedor, whose life was turned upside down by the Ukrainian invasion, is a great story waiting to happen.
The level of training and dedication to a sport that can actually pay the bills is going to lead to better play. Modern tables play much more consistently than the gold crowns and older tables. Cues, balls and chalk all better.Fedor will never dominate, because the quality at the top is almost mind-blowing right now, but assuming he regains his form of 2020, he'll be in the conversation for best player for years. The young ones are scary good right now and, as a group, seem positioned to mass-produce titles in the coming years. Where Fedor will fit in is not clear quite yet, but he's sure to be one of the ones found in the late rounds of many events.
