Dennis Searing

As i read this thread i remembered, that i once saved some pictures of a searing cue postet in this forum.
I found them.
The cue belongs to someone here on AZ. This is my all time favorite Hoppe-Style cue!

Btw.: Watch how the veneers get together... perfect angle, perfect work!

Go one lets see some pictures, as I am curious about this guy cue, as he has a long wait list.

I am curious also why don't you use the search button?
You will probaly find more..

I still am wondering what's the big deal over Searings. The one comment about look how the veneers are perfect angle is hilarious. I can see no big difference between his work and 10 other top cuemakers. WAY OVERRATED!!!! Not saying he makes a bad cue. I believe his cues are very good, but not at the level he is pushed to on here. I will give him one thing, self promotion. He has done an excellent job of marketing his cues.

HUH?
He has no website. Does not post here often. Has no dealers. Can be seen maybe twice a year on shows or tournaments.
The people who promote his cues are owners who are happy how they PLAY and look.

You are correct. If you ever run across one dont buy it!!! contact me instead, I will buy everyone of these over-hyped, self promoted, average cues that any cuemaker can build, that you can find. thank you in advance. JASON

When someone goes the extra mile to insure perfection in their product customers appreciate it and are willing to wait for it. Obviously this is true in many aspects of our lives and we know what we like and are willing to wait for.

Your is a great question, and I hope you get bombarded with answers. I would like to know who your ?top 10 other top cuemakers are? ?

I will make one observation about pool players, and golfers. Some are of the mind set that equipment will make you a great player, I disagree.

Did you just create this thread to bash Searing cue owners, Bruce?

Is this thread for Searing cue pictures or now 10 other makers on that man's list then golf clubs?
You wouldn't have any problems with people who say their cue hits great if the maker is the one you happen to own .

My porsche may not make me a better driver, but it's alot more fun than a horse.

Porsches rock, seldom seen in the desert, as we only have one new porsche dealership in all of AZ that sell them.:(

Alot of these cues are actually decorated wirh vinyl decals Im told:eek:
The older ones were made with inlays but now with a laser-jet color copier it saves alot of time & $$ with the decals:D :D :D :D just kidding...
Dennis strives in his work and equipment to build the very best cues possible"
People who really know the difference in cues will tell you immediately that Searing Cues are some of the very best-made cues available...In very limited quantity:( :(

Hello UGA330,

I am a real big fan of Dennis Searing and love his work, we all have our favorite cuemakers and they are not the same for everyone and that's ok.

I do know if you realize it but Dennis has never done much in the way promotion and does not have a website. I know he attends VF most years and I believe he had a booth or shared a booth with another cuemaker several times and I think he did the U.S. Open maybe 8 years ago or so.

Just between you and me ..you know what drives his popularity......building an excellent cue and his satisfied customers do the promotion of him and his cue craftmanship...and that is the greatest promotion avenue there is and just something self promotion and money can't buy.

Really happy, satisfied customers and a profound loyalty in buying and playing with and collecting his cues is what drives the promotion of Searing Cues.

I believe if you ever met Dennis you may find him to be a very nice man and a man that loves what he does and that's building cues. You will never hear Dennis speak afoul of another cuemaker..that's not his style. I have never heard Dennis brag about himself...in fact it is just the opposite he is very humble man.

If you are ever in South Florida you may even want to stop by his shop and he will be happy to give you a tour and answer any questions you may have about his cuemaking.

The saying being rewarded by the fruits of one's labor is truly evident in Dennis Searing's case.

In closing Dennis is loved by many not just of his great cuemaking, but also as a person.

Scott
