Dennis vs Ko, race to 100, 20K.

no chance for dennis

i predict ko wins the first two sessions at least 7 ahead which would be a significant margin of victory imo

Man I have been studying and looking forward to this one. Dennis is a demon in Steinway and I hate to use the word upset but he's going to outplay Ko. I don't know if that's going to be good enough to actually win the match but I think in games where they both get to the table Dennis is going to win most of those games. This match will be way better than I think some people are expecting but the Dennis that has come to town looks pretty damn good and Ko for some odd reason just appears to be struggling some.

Ko was jetlagged or so i heard.

He should be in better shape when the match starts

It is a bad excuse but to be fair to Ko, The excuse was made in Cardigan Kids post and it is unclear who made the excuse. It is possible that Cardigan Kid simply asked Ko's manager wh3n they got in and when the manager answered with facts Cardigan Kid came on here and posted that Ko flew in and played with "jet lag"... meaning Cardigan Kid supplied the excuse.

It is also possible that Ko's manager offered up the excuse and out of nowhere told Cardigan Kid that Ko is playing with j3t lag which is why he was playing bad but Ko doesnt strike me as an excuse maker. He seems more like an I played bad or I simply got beat type of guy who puts a target on whoever beat hims back. No excuses offered.

Something tells me you've never experienced jet lag.

I doubt Scott knew that (if true).
So we have to add letters?
I said Orcull io.
Maybe u mean Orcooolo?
I still Sat it's Brett Favraaa btw.

Yes, it's roughly pronounced like if you said "oreo" and put "cool" in betwen the r and the e. I say "roughly" because the Filipinos pronounce the double L much smoother than it sounds when said by an American.

Just because something is spelled a certain way doesn't mean that it's pronounciation is as you would read it in English.

Also, Scott most likely knows how it is supposed to be pronounced. It's not exactly a secret.

The right pronunciation is Or Cool You.
That'll make it simpler.

the money is usually locked up in the poolroom safe, so it's not that easy to get to. Some room owners carry themselves and some backers have their own security. Just saying, they aren't easy marks.

When fatboy was carrying loads of cash, there was a plain clothes former marine green beret close by him at all times. John was well armed and well trained, i knew he was there and very few others had any idea who he was. He stayed quiet and in the background. Looked just like any other sweater.

say what????

Why does it have to be labeled as an excuse when it really is an explanation or description of fact?

When Shane would fly into Dubai a day before WPA tourney and not do so well, but last year gets in a week early and acclimated himself, comes in second, is there an explanation?

Jet Lag is a fact of life. I've spent a lot of time around the world, most recently in Ukraine, and it always took days to get normal and they were only 7 hours ahead. Taiwan is 13 hours. So it's worse.

If you ever experienced Jet lag, and had to function at a high level of concentration during it, you would know that plays a huge factor.

Now that Ko is already here a total of 7 days,I expect a much different player than was at Turning Stone.

As for the interview, the translator described them both as jet lagged and said she wished they would fly in early, but the air fare was higher before New Year's, so they decided to stay with family and save some dollars and get tickets to fly in a day before Turning Stone. Kevin Cheng was already here so he was playing at a higher level. It was a topic of conversation for sure because Jet Lag is a fact of life.

The question is....which player will be able to string the most groups of racks together.

I wonder what the maximum number of racks will be run before this is over by either player. If the table plays tight, which it sounds like it might, maybe 5-6 racks by one player somewhere within the match?
