Denver pool room update-"Felt"

Cues blues and I went to Felt on Saturday. We played on a newly recovered table that played just OK. These tables are from the 60's and it shows.
We got great customer service and were made to feel as guests rather then customers. We had a nice lunch(the chocolate chip cookies for a buck are great) and I got a free glass of water with out asking for it. Also got to meet Ron Lyle the great heavyweight boxer from the 70's.
 
Thanks for the review measureman. Yes if they were the same Gold crowns that were in there when I was there with you then they are "broke in".;)

No free water at Hank's. (When's the movie coming out?).

As for Felt, it's too far in the 'burbs for my taste. And Hank's burritos will grow on you (one way or another).

But yeah -- Free water still flows at Felt. Take it to the bank.
 
I've been in there recently too. Looks like it's coming around finally now that Samm is working there.

They are getting a good turnout for the Friday 8ball tournament too. I heard they got 23 this past Friday.
 
Here is Ron Lyle at Felts. He got a little rowdy so I had to calm him down:thumbup: Not really, he was very nice to talk with and take a pic with me.

I didn't know if I should jump in or take the pic, but I will say that Ron
Lyle looks pretty scared in the photo.

Do you know if there are any good players there?

Is the Friday 8-ball tournament on 9 foot tables or bar boxes?
 
M.M. any added dollar events on the horizon in Denver? And anyone know when Match Ups has their event that Gary Benson runs?

They have their annual turkey shoot around thanksgiving, not sure what they may have before then. Bring extra shafts ;) (sorry, I couldn't resist).

APA tourney the weekend of the 24th; Friday night bar table 8-ball & Sunday big table 9-ball.

Nowhere to stay

I was traveling through the Denver area last week and stopped in to Felt. The place looked fine and I decided I would get a room nearby and return for the evening. Unfortunately, I couldn't find any major hotel chains in the area and just skipped the whole idea. I ended up heading out to Colorado Springs.
