My original plans for the Derby City Classic fell through. I just called the Executive West Hotel and they are SOLD OUT for the tournament.

I was looking at another tournament: The Turning Stone Casino Tournament. It is only 4 days and while it isn't one pocket it is a couple of races to 9 in nine ball at a very fancy casino up north where I haven't traveled previously. It is Feb 21-24. I can't go to both and there are NO ROOMS available at the Executive West Hotel.

With $25,000.00 added at the Turning Stone Casino.......
Long way to go and I bet its COLD up there.

No joke. Just go in the action room about 4 AM. Half the people in there will be asleep. And the other half are trying to win enough money to afford a motel room. Just teasin' :D

Old Has Been had a unique idea for freshening yourself up with the use of a clean toilet. The best idea is to catch one of the cleaning people and ask them to do a super clean job on one of the toilets and then you can refresh your feet with constantly circulating clean invigorating H2O,which will extend your endurance for hours on end. It's best to contact them EARLY in the morning before a lot of traffic builds up.

YO Jay, I got your match made in heaven. It's you and me playing $50-$100 one pocket. You pick the dollar amount but one party must lose 5 games before we quit. :)

JoeyA (But thanks for the suggestion. I'm sure Mr. Jopling would be a fine roommate but I have some other variables going on.)

That's What I'm Known For.... My THINKING

Pal Joey, allow me to resolve your problem.
Fly to the DCC and hie thee to the nearest Winnebago dealer and rent a beautiful spacious rolling suite of your own. VIOLA !

You like my soft action after that game at the Open. I played pretty good with a crooked house cue didn't I. I'm dead out of stroke, but I will bring my cue to this party. You got a game!

P.S. How about two games of One Pocket for a hundred a game and then two games of full rack Banks for a hundred a game. Fair is fair, after all. You know now you're the better One Pocket player.

Jay,

That was your 6,666 post! Ten times as evil? It wouldn't be much fun for you two to play four games and maybe break even so I think you need to add a tie breaker to your offer!

Hu(always glad to "help" two friends!)

Save that S**t, Jay, you cagey old fart. You know you were playing with a broomstick. I know it and you already told everybody else.

And to add to that, what did you lose, ONE GAME maybe two games after hours of play? Your one pocket game is REAL close to mine. You have already been outted. Your bank game is the real deal. Fatboy let the cat out the bag.

But we will talk more. I'm from the Big Easy and everyone has their way with us on the pool table.

the Joss event at Turning Stone is great - the venue is one of the best out there and you will see champion match after champion match - it is hard to choose which to watch - best suggestion, sit high in the bleachers and you can see all at one time :D but, if you are going to go, get your room reserved now because the rates will go way up and quickly. the tower is the closest to the event and the hotel is attached and a walk through the casino. if you want cheap, the Inn was booking $65 a night and they have a shuttle back and forth non-stop. I think Syracuse is the closest airport at about 20 miles away. plenty of people head that way, I am sure you can catch a ride if you don't want to rent a car.

But why would u want to stay at the Hampton for 119 when u can stay across street at Executive Inn for 75? I booked their Friday.

sorry, thought there were 'no rooms available'.
i wont add what i think could be useful info anymore.

i just called and made reservations at the west for the 3rd-8th... so they have rooms and not just across the street.
