Here is the next list of survivors.
Just so all of you can see what I am going through in trying to make such difficult choices, I am adding some notes to each design.
It was not my intention to design the cues myself only make detail changes that would be necessary to actually produce a cue.
So here is the current list in no particular order.
ace911 C&C DYD page 2
Very Traditional design with fine detail and beautiful veneers and inlays.
What I would change:
Nothing.
mhaimi MF DYD page 4
A well thought out and well balanced modern take on a traditional
base. Very interesting points and ring work.
What I would change:
Not much. Would need to see the points in more detail.
underclocked C&C DYD page 3
Great take on a traditional background. Design elements not seen
in a cue before. Well balanced and great contrast.
What I would change:
The floating points need to be redesigned a little. Perhaps turned
upside down.
chrisl1802 C&C DYD page 6
A modern fantasy design. Well balanced and organic. Wonderful
combination of material and colors. Not sure how the 3D effect of the
points would look in reality.
What I would change:
Some of the fine lines would need to be thicker.
jenduane C&C DYD page 6
Excellent Traditional design with a historical feel. Well balanced and
researched. Lots of interesting details.
What I would change:
Not much. The wrap looks a little tricky. Would add some silver to
reflect on the Sword theme.
Mcbisi C&C DYD page 9
Nice modern organic design with a traditional feel. The ring work is
very interesting and works well with the overall design.
What I would change:
The design might work better as a 3 point in order to fit all the detail in.
Dagwoodz MF DYD page 8
Traditional design with a twist. Very personal due to the selection of
materials yet universal in appeal. Who can't imagine the desert
mountains of Afghanistan with the sun turning them a rainbow of
colors. Who doesn't look up at the night sky and see the Universe
staring down at them.
What I would change:
The inlay at the end of the short points. Would leave everything else
alone.
Kickin' Chicken MF DYD page 16
Certainly a wild card design. Humor and fantasy all in one.
What I would change:
The dominos would need to be reduced in number to fit on a cue. Some
of the linking artwork would need to be clarified.
peter_gunn MF DYD page 17
A beautiful and elegant design. Very modern and completely new.
What I would change:
Because the cue would need to be shipped abroad, I would need t
use white stabilized Holly for the feathers. The feathers would also
need some connection. Silver veins perhaps.
