Diamond Ball Cleaner

I bought a new Ballstar ball cleaner a month or so and haven't even used it yet!!

Soon though, one can't play with dirty balls!!

I got a killer deal on it, I think around $350.00

Eric, I'd ask you for a pic, but I know better!! :D

Russ....

I got a BallStar too. It is up and running. Used it the first time yesterday. It works pretty well. I was impressed. Especially for the price :D

The Diamond one looks pretty damn nice, but it just had too high a price tag for me.

Yah...but people don't even WANT to pay the prices that get charged for Ballstars, let alone the price of a Diamond ball cleaner.

Someone really needs to come up with a way to manufacture a reliable ball cleaner for home users in the $350.00 range. $700.00 for a ball polisher is an insane price to expect a home user to pay. Not to mention that the price goes up to about $800 when you include shipping.

Those prices are okay for a pool hall, but I can't see them selling that many to home users at $700 a pop. I may be wrong. Maybe there are a lot of wealthy people with home rooms that can afford to get a matching ball polisher to go with their Diamond table.

Don't you just hate that, I went into a Ford dealership the other day to look at buying a new Shelby Cobra....and they wanted right at about $60,000.00 for a new one!!!!!!!!!!! I was almost in shock when I told them I was a pool player, and how could they even think about charging me that much for such a thing of beauty!!!!! So, I did what I thought was right, gave them my card and told me when they price the car down to what I can afford to pay as a pool player, I even made them a very good offer of $12,999.95 and told them I was just being fair!!!!!!! I think they'll call me next week, I got a good feeling about it...because I'm a GOOD pool player!!!!!!!!!!!!

I went to Denny's yesterday morning to eat my usual breakfast, T-bone steak'n 3 eggs, with hash browns and white toast, with about 8 cups of coffee. I got the bill, and noticed it was $1.00 higher than normal, so I asked why. Was told Denny's raised the price with the new menu that just came out. I told her I was a POOL PLAYER and how could they even think about charging me $19.46 for the breakfast I just ate!!! So, now I'm going to look for somewhere cheaper to eat in the mornings!!!!

I sold both of my Bludworth polishers to get my Diamond Polisher and it already paid for itself in less then 8 months. Everyone comes to me or when I am installing used tables I throw the balls in while assembling thier table. I'm happy @ $5.00 most pay me $10.00 just knowing I well always answer the phone and keep it in my truck @ all times. I big advantage is that I can clean standard pool balls, Caroom and Snooker balls with all the inserts. Surre they can make it cheaper in price but it wont be bullet proof name another machine thatr can fall out of a truck several times and only recive scratches and not cracks and broken parts. I waited a year before buying mine and wished I hadnt now.

Everyone is comparing homeowner equipment to commercial equipment. That's like saying an Imperial table will atlast a Diamond table in a pool hall situation.

Quality over quanity,

Lemme know when.....:)

A Diamond Ball Polisher costs $650.00 not $700.00 and I think you get what you pay for. If you purchase a cheap ball polisher then that is exactly what you will get. Diamond has used many different polishers in the past because of the numerous tournaments we have done. None of them held up very long under heavy use or they did not work well. So, we decided to make our own. It is made at our factory in Jeffersonville, Indiana. It is well designed, performs extremely well, is very quiet, and should give years of good service.

The local poolhall here in Sacramento has an original thats over 10 years old and still working with no new parts other then a pad replaced from to much use, all mechanical parts are rock solid still.

Thanks! :) Do you remember who started the thread you're talking about? I checked under threads you started but didn't see one. I'll do a search and compare the different types if you're not sure.

I'd like to make one with individual slots if I can find instructions for one like that. My table's out of commission right now because I just moved, so maybe that's something to work on during the down time.

Eric, sorry for hijacking your thread. The Diamond one is the ultimate ball cleaner, no doubt! :)

The Bludworth ball cleaner is the best for the money.
Put a Bludworth side by side with a Diamond polisher, and there's no comparison, the Diamond is so far superior it's a joke!

Diamond Ball Polisher

I have to agree with Glen on this one. i have known Leonard Bludworth for years. And his bal polisher has been around for a few years - but for commercial applications, the Bludworth just don't get it.

At a Reno event a couople fo years ago, the bludworth would get SO HOT the motor would just shut down for about an hour. In addition, it is very loud, and actually dangerous. It is a platter mounted directly to the motor. Get a ball to 'hop' out and get wedged - it will actually chew up the ball. No only the Bludworth but several others had the same problems.

I preferred the Porper for a few years but I only had a 16 table room. I still had to take it easy - and it does not tumble the ball like the Diamond does. Like almost all of the others, the ball only turns - it does not tumble like the Diamond does.

I have not seen a Star for several years - but it is a TOY compared to a Diamond. Diamond does 16 balls at once - has inseerts for snooker and billiard balls. Is quite and heavy duty. All carrier bearings etc. You can run it for HOURS and it does not even get hot.

Sorry about going off on this - but some people jjust do not know what they are talking about. And yes I know what I am talking about. I was involved (although slightly) in the development on this product.

It is the best there is. Perhaps a bit pricey for a home but unbelievable for a commercial application.

I have had mine for about a month and cleaned up 20 sets of balls, they all look new, and cleaned my set several times, because they were getting 4-8 hours of play a day. Honestly for the $$$ its worth it as a home ball cleaner-its that good, its like playing with new balls all the time, it is over kill. But when you figure you pay $4,000 for a table and $500 for a light and $1000 for a cue, $700 aint much to put the iceing on the cake, its built so good it will never burn out. I'm not on commission here but if you can afford it, I promis everyone who buys on you wont be sorry. I was skeptical at first till Glen showed me,
