I'll 2nd the vote for Lee!!
Yes, Lee wants in but he's still at the back of the bus. Maybe next year he will have a better chance. Lee already has a nice money game or two lined up. I want to see how he does in those.

This may be what I am most excited about for the Derby this year. Jay, are the rules going to be the same as in past Bigfoot Challenges i.e. 10 ball with 9 ball rules?

Yes, except for the break shot. It's a little different game on the big box. A lot more play to each rack!
Here's a few, Oscar Dominguez (already invited), Thorsten (invited), Phil Burford, Justin Bergman and Brandon Shuff, in no particular order. There are also players who have turned down invitations so their name does not appear here. I prefer not to go into the reasons why they chose not to play.
What about mike dechaine?

He's not in right now. I would call him an alternate as well.
Just curious how is the field chosen? I would think that mike would be chosen over a few players on that list. Not disrespecting any of them just curios how field is chosen

I don't want to but in! Jay will answer I am certain. But, first priority went to those that played in southern classic big foot! Then Jay looked at rankings to give the fans the best field possible. He also took into account any past problems with behavior and attitude to get a field deserving and appreciative!
Hope this answers your question!

Yeah, I went out on a limb with Stricknine, but my God, everybody still wants to see him play. He does show flashes of his old brilliance from time to time, and all of us would like to see vintage Earl one more time. I'm not sure that's possible anymore but we'll give him another chance to show his stuff next month. He professes to love the big box, so all I can say is "Go for it Earl!"
This is INVITATIONAL, players are CHOSEN by Greg Sullivan and myself. There is no specific criteria, other than we have to like your game and want you in the field. If we can put together an interesting mix of players, people will enjoy this event and support it. If we fail to do that, then people will stop supporting it. So far, so good. But thanks for asking.

As of now i won't be going derby Jay. Just not worth the money to only play in the 9 ball....
