Diamond Customer Relations

If you'd have read a little further, you wouldn't have asked such a question:rolleyes:

Glen

Fact is... I have read it several times trying to give you the benefit of the doubt... Your words indicate that an attitude adjustment from your employer (Diamond) is clearly in order.

I often read the mechanic's section out of curiosity and cobra is an expert in his field. People often try to figure out his methods because he knows so much about what he does... I will definitely enlist his services if I ever move out west (which is likely). Cheers dude, ignore the haters.

I love it!!! People ( Jerryscues) get on here with a story that omits the facts that would make the entire thread pointless.. and then go back and edit the original post?..once again..omitting his original comments that omitted other facts!! LMAO.

RealKingCobra = Glen a) No secret identity
b) the whole story
c) table technician equivalent in pool-Efren Reyes

Jerryscues = Jerry???? a) works for brunswick??? Live at retirement center????
b) MO= manipulates by omitting facts ( x2 here )

You people that can't see through this and want to condemn Glen, your loss. Glen is the best. Diamond is the best. If your lucky enough to get both...It's worth the wait .

If people would take the time to turn the tables (no pun intended) and see things from others point of view, we would never find ourselves wasting so much precious time on these type threads.

Facts: non disputed

1) retirement center buys tables
2) Glen tries to deliver & retirement center refuses delivery ( haven't sold their old tables yet)
3) Glen tries again on next run to WA. Still haven't sold tables.
4) Tables sold .Don't want to wait for next run to WA. Post negative thread suggesting poor service and suggesting Diamond going out of business.

Patient 9ft ProAm Owner,

Ray

Ps. Glen,I have an awesome truck that would make life on the road much more enjoyable. Probably save you some $ too! You will need a CDL though.

I've thought about that, I could even deal with DOT scales, but residental restrictions would be a nightmare:D

If it's 8'6" wide, that'll carry up to eight 7 to 9ft ProAms, I carry up to 9 right now, but with my trailer it would bump me up to 14:D

Glen

Glen, do you have to pick these tables up at the factory, or do they send them to you, that is quite a ways to go for a pick up.

Just once I'd wish Diamond would crate up a 9ft ProAm, ship it by a trucking company to the location it's going to...so that we can ALL read about the nightmare it was trying to get a forklift to get the crate off the truck...then trying to figure out how to get a pool table that weighs 1,230lbs all in one piece into the location...LMAO..I think that would be one hell of a thread....don't you?????? And you know what would be so funny about that...you couldn't blame Diamond for the nightmare...because you got just what you wanted...a Diamond 9ft ProAm right on time! I wonder how long it would take before someone called up Diamond complaining about how they can't get the table into their house or location...I tell you, I'd be laughing so hard it would hurt!!!! Maybe then someone would appreciate a little bit more what I do for a living! That's right, a "LIVING" as this is not just a job. NO ONE can do what I do, unless they're willing to give up everything that even resembles what someone would call a life!!!! I have no home to speak of, I live in the back end of a 15 ft box truck...shared by pool tables, so that people like you can wave your magic wands and just make things happen!

Let me ask you something, the 2 times when I was delivering pool tables up to Washington State back in late October and November and could have delivered your tables then....why didn't you request the delivery when it was on my schedule to be there???????? You had already placed your order....BUTTTTTTTTTT...you wanted to WAIT until you sold off the 4 tables you already had so you wouldn't have them in your way when the Diamonds showed up!!!!!!!....Well, you know what, there's a lot more people that I deliver tables to besides you guys...and they too have been waiting. So, when you're at the front of the line, and YOU choose to step to the rear of that line...don't complain about how long the line is ahead of you!

Now, back to Diamond going out of business...what a dumb thing to say, that was said to try and be spite full. One of the problems we have at Diamond IS the delivery of the tables, BECAUSE you can't ship them by trucking company on a dolly...they WON'T transport them. Then I guess Diamond could crate them for YOU, and ship them that way, but then...guess what?...YOU couldn't install them...except that then...it's YOUR problem...not Diamonds, because you got just what you paid for.

So, that leaves lil' ol' me, as I'm the only person in the world that is even willing to live my life on the road living in the back of a box truck....just so you can get your Delivery!

And to answer your question about how come Diamond don't just hire more people to deliver the tables, because I already know that's what you're thinking...so my answer to that one is...hey, just run an add in the paper looking for someone that weighs about 265lbs, that can lift Diamond 9ft ProAms like they weigh nothing, because you can't always count on help on the delivery end....hint hint, and they also must be able to recover and level pool tables exceptionally well, as in great, to avoid complaints back to Diamond about the work done...and oh yeah, the person should be single in life, because if he's not when he goes to work....he will be before long, and I might add, he shouldn't own a home, because he'll hardly ever see it again...AND, he has to be able to communicate well.....with himself, because for the most part...that's all he's going to be talking to as he's driving all over the country...playing Santa Claus!!!!!!!!!

Now, your tables are on the way, I'm trying to get there by hopefully this coming weekend, or at least before it's over...as I already told Holly...last week. Your tables were delayed because of the 2 storms that blew through the delivery area I'm in...and if you think I'm going to risk my life to deliver someones pool tables...you've got another thing coming...it's called a rebate!!!!!

Have a great day,

Glen

As I've said before, and I'll say it again, "The hardest jobs in the world, are made easy by those that don't have to do them!"

come on tell us how you really feel...........
scott

I have to say that I've read this entire thread and see a lot of people here condemning Glen. The man is very passionate about what he does and he truly concerned about the customer getting what they want the most.... a Diamond table set up as quickly as they can get it at the best price possible....

I didn't buy a table, but came very close. Diamond tables are not cheap, but they are the best. Hands down.

Glen and I went back and forth a few times talking about what was out there and available a few months back. I couldn't do what Diamond had available so Glen contacted a few other sources and got back with me on a deal that just couldn't be turned down. Unfortunately due to a few unexpected finances I had to turn it down, but you cannot - and I mean cannot fault Glen in any way for how he chooses to convey his message.

He doesn't work for Diamond. He works for the customer.

Sometimes I pick the tables up at the BCA warehouse in Vegas, but that don't always work either. Last year I spent from April to September on the east coast delivering tables out of the factory, but when I was doing that, no one was delivering tables on the west coast. Diamond does have people to deliver on the east coast, but sometimes even they get backed up and need a little help. Other times, people buy Diamond tables based on the requirement that I am the one that is going to be delivering them:D On my next trip back east, I'm heading to Boston, MA and that area, and I think I'm going to be heading down to Florida as well, not sure right now. But, there's only 2 places in the US to pick the tables up for delivery...1 east, and 1 west. I deliver to Canada as well, from Vegas...but, sometimes they come from Indiana...as I try to deliver the tables faster than Diamond can get them delivered to Vegas.

Call Diamond, tell them you're looking for a job, but you might want to check with me first, not saying that you can't install, but...you really need to get past me first, before you sell yourself to Diamond:D Prove you know what you're doing to me, and I will recommend you to Diamond:D

i have read every post on this thread and all i have to say is diamond tables are without a doubt the best tables out there but after the threads by the delivery guy i would think twice about getting a diamond if he is the guy delivering it. this ofcourse is leaving out the fact that if i ordered a product and was givin a delivery date and several other delivery dates and still hadnt recieved the product then i without a doubt would have taken my business elsewhere. if u have a problem with delivery then hire more people and contrary to glen's opinion there are how many millions of people in the united states so chances are he isnt the only one qualified to do the job. for the price u pay for a diamond table it should be there when the delivery date is. i mean a brand new gold crown costs what almost half as much and after every single modification and having installed by a top guy here on the east coast id still be atleast a few grande under what u pay for a diamond. so i guess my point is iv always wanted a diamond but after reading this thread ill go the cheaper route and be just as happy all because of the attitude of a delivery guy.

With all due respect, I have to disagree. Glenn is EXACTLY the kind of guy I'd want to do business with! Obviously dedicated and passionate about his work. I too have read this entire thread and have come to the conclusion that if I ever get the funds together to get a Diamond, I'd expressly demand that Glenn deliver and set it up.

Setting up Brunswick's, AMF's, Olhausen's. or any other kind of tables you've ever set up in the past is child's play when compared to setting up the New Diamond 9ft Professionals with the new leveling system and a one piece slate:D But not saying you couldn't, just would want to make sure you could first, as to not waste anyone's time, or see someone get hurt:D

Hey I could only stand to read through about page 1 of this thread. Here's my two cents though...installing the table correctly is only part of your job, Glen. Customer relations SHOULD be another wether you like it or not. If you don't want to deal with it, let me help you out... If you get any on this side of the country that you don't want to deal with the people or your schedule won't allow you to get to, please give me a call. I'd be glad to pick up what you can't get to. I too make a living installing tables. My approach is a little bit different, and I'm not going to make a right or wrong judgement about that. Just call me if I can get one installed for you and save you a trip and a customer interaction. Maybe save Diamond a little face in the process, judging from page 1 of this thread. LOL My service area unfortunately only covers Ohio, Indiana, Kentucky and parts of West Virginia right now, but give me a call if I can help you out with something.

Then you missed the part where the guy cancelled/delayed the first 2 delivery dates, but then after wants them delivered right now.
