DiLiberto vs Ronnie Allen rematch?

The most entertaining match I've ever watched was the D.D. vs R.A. match in Arizona for $20,000. The match took several (5?) tapes and the two guys were miked so you could hear their comments. Great stuff.
Personally I'd like to see a rematch, but if those two aren't a big enough draw these days, how about the same format, but with the current top one holers like Efren and any one of 5 or 6 other giants.

Good idea. I like Scott Frost against Tony Chohan. Now there's a match!

come to think of it, I remember Ronnie making comments to someone named Jay in the crowd. Would that be Mr. Helfert?

I think Jay put the whole thing together.

I like Frost v. Chohan, too. Or Frost v. Joyner. But maybe we'd like to see some old time movers instead. Incardona v. Bentivegna?
Jay, did you get my PM?

It's Not The Heat...It's The Humidity

I didn't know that it was that humid in Arizona. Thank goodness for those bar towels.

Is this match available through accu-stats or another source? If so, and you have the link to it, could you please provide it. thanks....

I think Jay H. might have an updated version of that match that was edited a bit but also has some stuff not on the original tapes.

They are definately worth watching.

The Action Report is doing similar things to this- they just put out a Harriman-Schmidt one pocket match for sale. Miking Tony and Frost would be a good idea for a future TAR match.

You couldn't pay me to watch Ronnie gamble at pool.

I have the R.A. vs Danny D. match and I'm not convinced that they were playing for 'all the money', despite what anyone here might say. It's my opinion that there was a 'saver' or an agreed upon 'payout' for Danny.

Scott would win IMO perhaps even giving 9-7. :)

He wouldn't give Chohan 9/7 with odds on the $$. As good as he is & he is one of the best in US, so is Tony, and he is getting better all the time. You might have trouble getting a bet down on Scott playing even. IMO. John

Jay's picked the right players. In order to make it work they have to have outgoing personalities. Scott and Tony would talk it up and make it interesting. Efren, as great as the play might be, would be disappointing miked. Perhaps Alex and Tony might be even better. Sure would be entertaining and the play is close.

Lenny;

Too much time in that AZ heat, its gettin' to ya. Billy has played them both, he could chime in on this one. Scott could get some good action giving Tony 9/7. Well maybe not good, but lots of it.

I was not there for the DD/RA match but I heard the A/C was not working
the last 2 days of it. Dry heat or not, it can get a little warm in Phx in the
early fall, like maybe 110-115 or so. Also the humidity goes up
during our "monsoon" season which was when that match was played.

That's for sure. If Frost gives Chohan weight, I'm going to find as much cash as I can and watch Tony make me some $$$. Chohan wins even up in short sessions. In longer sessions, Chohan wins going away.

The Ronnie v Danny D match was one of the classic great battles. For the role you played in making it happen, please accept my thanks.

If you put another event together, I'll spend for the set.
