Dime vs Nickel tip

Tip radius has nothing to do with a miscue. Also tip radius has much less effect on pretty much everything than you would think.

A miscue has much more to do with edge compression and chalk, out beyond whatever a radius will provide in terms of surface contact point.

Which tip radius is less likely to cause a miscue?
I don't believe tip radius causes miscues, I think tip size 12.5mm and above have a more natural nickel radius and 12.2mm and below have a more natural dime radius, not scientific, JMHO.....

From Dr Dave's Cue Tip Size and Shape Effects. Figure below shows cue tip hitting at the cue-ball's miscue limit. The cue ball will hit the 10mm cue-tip edge --- not the front surface of the tip ---if the tip is shaped to nickel versus some of the tip hitting cue ball if shaped to a dime. Mentioned at 4:51 at

What are typical causes of the dreadful draw shot miscue. I swear I'm hitting it above the miscue limit but somehow I manage to hop that puppy.

You are lifting up starting with your head.
The sooner you stop blaming everything but yourself the sooner you will improve.
Look on the bright side.
You can blame yourself when you win too.
The tip didn't make you win. You did.
