Dippy is back

I've never met someone that isn't a sucker for something, girls, food, gambling, etc

I played at Northfield Billiards just about everyday from 1998 to 2005 when they closed their doors. Leil ( JR ) was the houseman and Dippy Dave was in their playing everyday if he was in town.If Dippy Dave was playing he was gambling. He IS smart and picks up things very fast.I saw in a post by CJ Wiley that he asked CJ if he were a sucker or a Hustler. Trust me he is no sucker. He may be looser with his cash now since hitting it big with Poker, but he is no sucker.I say you were right on about him learning a lot from JR.

A few hours after he ask me whether he was a "sucker or a hustler" he lost over 50k.....so when you say "trust me he is no sucker," I at least have to wonder. ;)

For the first 40 hours I'd say Dippy is a smart, well managed "hustler," then things start to slowly change, and he transforms into a sucker. I've never met someone that isn't a sucker for something, girls, food, gambling, cheap deals, etc. and Dippy's no exception.

Bankroll aside, you are more likely to be murdered in La, than any other place (State/large area) in North America. How they have some people believing it's all southern hospitality and quaintness is one of the greatest cons ever.

detroit/baltimore/chicago/gary are tops no i think//however new orleans was the #1 for years..

I only heard if one robbery down there in a long while..and that one could have been avoided..

I did

I did say since hitting it big with poker he is more likely to be a little looser with his cash.I wonder was it his 50k or winnings given back, but no matter .I do not think losing makes him or anyone a sucker unless they keep at the same thing over and over that they have no chance to win.

Losing has a little something to do with being a "sucker"....however, there's much more to life than having a spotless gambling record in pool (or cards). ..Many people are suckers in other "departments" of their life that are much, much more important......like the "health department". Can anyone tell me how to pay off for $50k/game please or where and how to get the cash without the Feds watching. Moreover let's talk about a million bucks. If by chance you go from one million to two million what do you do with it?

I'd mainly like to know because I had a hell of a time with $50k recently so I'd love to hear how to move around that large a figure back into the legal funds realm. Of course it could sit in a closet and I totally understand how to do that.

i dont know how to do it without opening some business and reporting more than you make. for that amount you could probably do it with a back rub joint-no product to buy. The larger amount open a bar and give away drinks like crazy- You will get busy quick and have the illusion of bringing in the cash you report.

I think you would have to make a few weeks worth of $2995 daily deposits to avoid getting flagged/watched.

Exactly right, money under the mattress is good enough to buy maybe a car and some furniture but can't invest it and do much else with it besides splurge.

That only works up to a certain point. It especially depends on what your accounts normal average deposits are in a month. However it would take 43 weeks of that deposit to get a million in there....imagine that lol.

Can you put pimp on your W2? LOL
No you can't....actually yes you can.

I have money, I know what a hassle it is moving around money even just investing it, cause uncle sam wants their capital gains money bad don't worry about it...so I can't possibly see how unless you are a super star or part of the elite wealthy how people can possibly put a million in play and then do anything besides lose it or put back the original investment. On an even bet you are laying 6:5 with uncle sam...set up off shore accounts maybe...don't know but I'd love to hear the reports back after these million dollar sets get played.

Yes he was here through most of 2006. When the room closed the owner of N.billiards took JR and another player you might remember Kenny K. On a trip from Ohio to Fla., they came home abt. even.I would say abt. A third of the older players , moved, while a third died, so you can see there still are some floating around up here but they are now spread out from Wickcliffe , N. Ridgeville and all the way to Fiddlestyx in Canton.I wish someone would opens room by the new Racino opening here in the fall,I would love to see all the players in one area instead of spread out.If you know Zummo and Tulio, you have to know Big Joe.

Yea I remember him. Mike Chandley actually lives a few minutes from me. There were s ton of pool halls there when I lived there, but not so much now. Seems like I took em all with me when I moved because there's a bunch here.

As I understand it, at some level you can declare yourself a professional gambler, track wins, losses, expenses, etc. Then you only pay taxes on the net, not the gross.

I don't know whether there are rules for carrying over losses from year to year, like with capital gains. If not, a big win year could really hurt tax-wise.

I played SVB about 2 years ago with 16-3 and got POUNDED the first set. Second I got back, but it took a miracle combo-bank shot, and a full cue jump in one game to even make it close. Keep in mind I like to play 1p, and play it fairly often. I'd play him with that spot again, but I wouldn't like it, and I play WAY better now...

If you like your odds at 18-4, come to SD, and I'm sure you can have all the action you want with 18-4. You will lose everything you bet...

18-4 is the world for weight, but you need the sun, moon, and stars to beat the best...

LOL...16-3 you just GOTTA try it out with ANYONE on this earth.

You're soooo close, but I'm not going to break it down. I asked a question I know the answer to already, was just seeing who else has gotten that really cool letter in the CERTIFIED mail.

do you really expect the answer to be posted on a public forum?

Just pray they never do a audit on you and have a hard on for you. Then the forensic accounting team comes in and they dont miss very often at all and know all the tricks.
If they want you, they will get you, only the deluded think they wont.
