I hope I'm not totally wrong on this, and if so I apologize, but isn't JAM kind of a groupie? She doesn't play, does she?

You are.....She did play. Your wrong on both issues.

I don't think going out, or living with one pool player makes someone a groupie....

Give Jennie a break!
Supporting the one you love is a thing that few of us have.
I met them both and they were fun and very nice to be around.
Hey being a poolplayer in this day and age is not easy for anyone so lay off her and her friend!

Guys, he didn't rip into Jennie. He asked a question - one probably many people had on their minds and chose not to throw it out there.

I'm guessing if he asked about someone else in the same situation as Jennie, but someone who was NOT a regular poster here, you guys would have acted quite differently.

Are we not all just pool groupies ourselves?

AZ is just a big pool groupie hangout online.

Most of the pool groupies around here work at the pool hall.

Yes, and remember the old joke:

What do you call a pool player without a girlfriend???
HOMELESS... lol

Cue makers have groupies but the problem is they are middle aged guys that want to tell us about the history of their life. You know, how they were going to go pro until their wife left with their cue.....

Gotta love it.

Scott, thanks. I didn't mean that in any mean or bad way. I really didn't know she played, and thought she just liked hanging out with pool players. Sorry JAM! I should have known better, pool players aren't that good for company.;-)

I'm not trying to get on your case; however, If you did not know much about Jeannie, then why did you go out posting she was a groupie? What gave you the idea she was a groupie? If you had read any of her numerous posts, you would have known.

Not all AZBers are groupies!

Not all AZBers are groupies, but we are all Fans or Billiard enthusiast. it's possible there are few groupies here on the AZB land, but not all groupies are AZBers. Confused?

The key difference is that the groupies are Sexually available to their celebrities.

That is the same definition I would have when it comes to a groupie even though, upon looking it up:

1. a young person, esp. a teenage girl, who is an ardent admirer of rock musicians and may follow them on tour.
2. an ardent fan of a celebrity or of a particular activity: a tennis groupie.

I still think that sex is a key element along with the ardent admirer portion. I am sure that is what the original poster meant - surely he wasn't asking if pool players had fans.

I would think that many rock musicians/nba players/pool players have married someone that was originally considered a 'groupie'.

Sigh.

He ASKED A QUESTION. He did not say "JAM is a groupie".

Did you not read his post? Or were you just in a hurry to jump on the dogpile?

I'm a groupie, I cant play a lick, dont bet on anything, and have nothing better to do.:)

Yes, but no self respecting professional player would have sex with you. :P

I like that term "Sexually available to the celebrities" Very tactful but very to the point. Johnnyt

I understand that not all AZ'ers are groupies. At the same point we are all sexually available.

I especially am available for Ga-Young Kim.
