I would like to personally nominate Dr Dave for a nomination to the BCA HOF for his amazing contribution for the pool community.

There is no doubt that Dr Dave has been a huge contributor to the game of billiards in anyones lifetime. His analysis and break down of the finest point of pool is unbelievable and hugely accurate!!

His scientific break down of pool is unparallel to any person alive today and I really feel he deserves a spot in the HOF for pool and cue sports.

It’s guys like Dave that have truly elevated young players (and older players) through his instructional videos. It’s just my humble opinion but I think that Dave should be included as one of the best instructors in the game and needs to represented in the HOF

The body of work is definitely HOF.

DrDave led the adoption of social media and instruction. Hall of Fame is for players.

As a living document is any one proposing a new Billiard media award for non pool players part of the billiard industry.

Panozzo should win over DrDave.
Mike Panozzo led publications and created player stories.

Mike Panozzo and DrDave fill a similar space.

Your body of work clearly illustrates that you have no idea what you're talking about thus your opinion means NOTHING. Most HOF's induct people who have contributed greatly to their sport. Without question, Dr Dave's contributions speak for themselves.

Dr. Dave for the HOF!

If Dr. Dave is to be nominated for inclusion to the BCA HoF, please listen to Justnumbnutz.

Dr. Dave would be nominated into the Meritorious Service category for contribution . He certainly deserves the nomination. The challenge will be that there are other previous contributors in the same arena that are not in, and some have not been nominated. For example, Bob Jewett has been known since Bob Byrne mentioned him in Byrne's Standard Book as *the* authority on billiard physics in the 70's. Has Bob been nominated? (answer is yes). I think he would go in before Dr. Dave. Also to be considered are Ron Shepard (Amateur Physics for the Amateur Poolplayer), Jack Koehler (Science of Pocket Billiards), Phil Capelle (a whole slew of excellent instructional material) etc.

I think Dave should just stay the course with his increased billiard instruction activity since his retirement and let the chips fall where they may. I think the best is yet to come from him, and I look forward to seeing it.

That is very kind of you to suggest. I appreciate the sentiment.

Agreed. Many "non-pro-players" are deserving, especially Bob Jewett.

I certainly plan to attempt to continue contributing, and I am always working to improve my material and delivery.

How does it work in other sports like basketball, baseball or football? Can you nominate a non player into a HOF?
I do agree that Dr Dave contributed enough to pool to be recognized with an award of some kind, but adding him to the HOF will open a path to other non players, and how can you measure their achievements without them winning anything? It's not a popularity award, it's an achievement award.

This thread looks suspicious like women are being left out.

Dianna Hoppe worked the tour trail.

The girl that ran the inside pool mag booth (idk name).

Jasmin does press outside of billiards.
