Eagle Eye Takes Aim at 14.1 High Runs

The 11 ball actually hit the 15 first before making contact with the 14, and the 14 went well wide. Strange end.

Back to talking about snooker players being able to run a crazy number...

I don't know. Their technique is so much a part of their game, I don't know if they could play loose enough to get there. That's one thing that stands out to me about Jayson's technique, not just here, but in comparison to when he first started playing American pool. He just doesn't even seem to care about his lower body anymore. It's weird, he could stand on one leg and still deliver the cue in a straight line. It stands out to me, because if I take one shot off technique wise I miss....argh.

The last few racks he was very aware of where he was. His play changed.
First he couldn't run 200.

Now he's approaching 400.

Now he can't catch Mosconi.

He just needs more time and he'll get there.

This is definitely the easiest table I've ever seen on a stream and probably easiest I've ever seen. Valley bar tables reject more balls than this table. I get it though...

Agreed. That 397 puts him over some of the the most venerated straight pool players.

To the person angrily typing up a reply about cloth, balls, patterns, desire, etc. I get it, trust me.

But at the end of the day, it’s balls in the hole. Jayson just did something very special and my hat goes off to him.

Would other players take one of the other shots available before trying that combo?
I definitely would not have shot that combination. But then again, I really suck at combos that are not close to the pocket and will generally only shoot them as last resort. I have watched Jayson hit some great combos over the last few days, so I am sure he felt very confident in this shot.

Probably not. The combo lay perfect to bump the 15 into a break ball, and it's one that any decent player should be a favorite to make.

Your right, It takes doing it. He keeps getting further as time goes on. 200 now almost seems like a hanger. I'm not wrong, his play changed at a point as the number gets higher.

You can see him thinking and getting up and down, changing shots. He gets different. If you don't see it it is because you don't want to.

Again, and?

Your really trying hard to knock him but your knocking game is about as weak as your prediction game
I'm not knocking him I'm stating the obvious and that is that he's getting better, he's altering his style of play. That freewheel will only get him so far mindlessly going into balls. He's looking a little more polished now. I haven't been watching the whole time but when's the last time he scratched on a break shot. Maybe he's getting a little coaching in between.
